I should fuckin well hope so
Wait until veterans learn that they want to take away their healthcare and disability pay in order to give tax cuts to the rich. This is not hyperbole, that’s literally one of the ways they intend to save money. Also making it so you can get your pension or VA disability, but not both.
i bet they’ll still vote republican
UPDATE: watch the apologists try to say that it’s not that bad below. lol
Bud, we already vote blue. Yeah there’s some dumbasses out there voting for Trump but he did something no Democrat has been able to do in the modern era. He got the military to vote blue in 2020.
The Democrats have had trouble getting our VA stuff figured out but we’re well aware the Republicans want us to actually just die in an alley somewhere.
I’m glad that the wannabe dictator has pissed y’all off. Sorry about how he fucked y’all over, but it’s best that y’all don’t like him
the military isn’t pissed off at trump and the comment you’re responding to is intentionally misleading; less that 1% of people from the military force supported biden in majority numbers.
Oh dude. An 80 year old Vietnam veteran is not part of the military force. The guys who he needs to actually follow his orders hate him. Even us Iraq/Afghan vets aren’t getting called back unless they need extra trainers for non physical things.
I’m absolutely not the one distorting things here.
461,657 troops voting for biden vs 16.2 million veterans voting for trump, that’s not even one percentage point; the military votes republicans and it seems that they were prefer that alley at this point.
There’s around 18 million veterans. Exit polling put them at 55/45. So no 16 million of us did not vote for Trump. Stop playing into GOP propaganda. We are not captured by them and they are not the best party for us. The fact that the military voted blue is absolutely historically significant. You need to realize though that veterans are not the military. The cohort that voted against him lived through him staying the education funding for their children, denigrating their wounded and denying his actions got soldiers hurt.
Yeah that’s the part that blows me away - that anyone military-related would vote for Trump after his comments about McCain and wounded veterans. Truly voting against their own interests.
The older guys just don’t believe it happened. Or automatically exclude themselves from his jokes. Literally just his admission that he wouldn’t do everything to rescue a captured service member should have made sure he never got another veteran or military vote.
The military voted in Biden’s favor in 2020.
461,657 troops voting for biden vs 16.2 million veterans voting for trump, that’s not even one percentage point; the military votes republicans
Because our military targets poor, undereducated individuals, which by and large exist in red districts/states.
Fucked up any way you look at it
He’s not even right. There’s 18 million veterans and veterans went 55/45 Trump. That’s 9 million not 16, and if he can’t see why the active duty force voting against their commander in chief is significant then I have no help for him.
He’s not even right. There’s 18 million veterans and veterans went 55/45 Trump. That’s 9 million not 16, and if he can’t see why the active duty force voting against their commander in chief is significant then I have no help for him.
you’re wrong 52% went with trump and for only the last election, not the previous one and i’m trying to figure out if you’re a shill; ignorant; or misinformed.
Not only does the article you replied to show that your numbers are completely wrong, but your comment isn’t even internally consistent… 462,657 is like 3% of 16.2 million, not less than 1%. What are you smoking?
you’re right, that’s 2.8%, that’s much better /s
Again, your numbers are completely and totally wrong to begin with, proved by the very article you replied to—I’m just ALSO saying that even using your wildly incorrect numbers you’re still wrong in yet another way
Until they die.
A lot of red voting trade workers need to understand how anti-union and anti-workers rights it is. And wave goodbye to overtime.

Oh we know. That shit went through the grapevine faster than a bad southern idiom.
I’m a Red Blooded Christ Loving Veteran and I’m TOTALLY OK WITH THAT as long as TRANS KIDS DIE TOO! #SaveTheChildren!
It’s just about time for a MASSIVE march on Washington. These clowns are way too comfortable.
The Supreme Court is out of hand with zero pushback.
Hate to say it, but protests and marches do jack shit these days in terms of pressuring our leaders.
If there were anything approaching a general strike they would panic. They just don’t give a shit when it’s several thousand people on a weekend in NYC with their striking permits. Why would they? That’s a small parade. St. Patrick’s Day is a larger disruption for the city.
If you put an actually large number of people there, they will listen.
No, not really. One of the great america propagandizing myths is that protests are effective. They’re not, they can easily be ignored. What does work is organized strikes and planned disruptions of key targets with protests.
In certain forms, or in conjunction with other forms of activism it can still work. For example tree sit ins to prevent logging.
Occupy wall street, BLM, the protests when Row v Wade were overturned all largely accomplished nothing on their own.
Dude, the entire reason Ukraine isn’t a Russian puppet anymore is they got enough people together to stop it.
In Vietnam the great anti war demonstrations didn’t stop the war on their own but they grew into such a movement that the politicians were forced to stop. It was such a thing that the evil guy torpedoed peace negotiations just so he could be the one to have peace negotiations.
Large enough groups of people absolutely have an effect, directly or indirectly depending on the exact situation. BLM didn’t solve police brutality but it forced the adoption of body cameras and brought about the end of qualified immunity in at least one state. It made it okay for prosecutors to charge cops criminally, so they don’t get voted out for it in the next AG election. The Roe v Wade demonstrations got abortion on the ballot in several states, and it won on 4 out of 6. 5 states are going to have ballot referendums in November with possibly 5 more.
If you’re looking for the crowd to solve the issue that day then you don’t understand how building a political movement works.
I have grown up pretty much my entire life hearing and thinking that protests are the way to bring about change, but everyone conveniently leaves out the fact that you have to build that political movement too.
People want to show up for a protest and be done, many people don’t want to do the work to be an activist and work for change, and honestly I don’t blame them.
Hell I know people who went to BLM protests, Palestine protests and pro choice protests… But don’t vote, so sorry if I seem overly critical of protesting. I’m just sick of prevalent idea that it’s all you need to do.
I would just be careful of rolling that over into protests are useless or people who just protest are useless. Everyone is playing a part. Although they really should be voting too.
This is exactly the correct take. Other fantastic examples include Ghandi and Nelson Mandela.
I think MLK had something to say about that and what it leads to
Just about?
The tolerance you all show will never not infuriate me.
The entire country of France is yelling at the TV rn
I wonder if they do consulting work.
Fuck Nazis
NAZI PUNKS FUCK OFF!
Calling them punks is an insult to punks, they’re just scum
Nazi Punks are neo-nazis in the punk scene. They are an insult to the scene, so people would say this before they punched a Nazi punk in the face.
I know, I just disown them from the punk label
(its a Dead Kennedys reference for those who don’t know)
They are soo… republican!
I’m so sorry I said the R word! I swear on my mother’s tits I won’t ever fucking say it again. I’m just such a filthy mouth. But I’ll try not to say that r word again 😭👿.
No one wants to be a part of your fascist religious cult! Humans want freedom, not oppression.
Humans want freedom, not oppression.
Hey! Republicans are human, too.
Prove it!

I think its funny that the more shit like this they push on me the further away from their ideologies I want to be. Vote blue and be done with leadership provided by conservatives, they only want to control us and I’m sick of it
Because every page is insane bullshit. Here’s one I saw a post about and looked up, where they want to just straight up fire everyone in the Treasury Department who’s participated in a DEI initiative:
I’m pretty sure that these idiots who wrote this will only be happy once everyone in this country is miserable and dead. They hate everything about this country.
The issue is that people don’t appreciate that DEI etc. are not about race per se, but about the problems and conflicts which happened (and still do) because people have different skin colors.
You cannot create ideology based on racial supremacy, and then complain when other people want to block degenerates like you from acting on that ideology.
2226?
Long term plan…
US public rapidly sours on turning US into fundamentalist shithole
Removed by mod
Its not surprise they want to ban books and sites that give people a chance to learn that their normal aint normal
When the public pays any attention to conservative policy.
That’s the issue is most people don’t even do the most basic level of research, they just tune in to whatever news network they’ve listened to for their life, and do whatever they say, and its pathetic.
It’s funny. When you laid out the individual points of Obamacare and ran some polls without the context of the name, they were quite popular. When they’re bundled together and called Obamacare, the popularity plunged.
In this case, you drop an 922 page pdf full of conservative agenda items, people will largely ignore it, because who the fuck has time to wade through a 922 page pdf? But somebody reads it, and its agenda items start to be laid out individually, and everyone hates it.
So basically, progressive policy is popular until conservatives give it a nickname and pretend it says something else. Conservative policy is not popular, and they can only get it through by obfuscating it.
cuz a christian theocracy regime plan doesn’t sound like much fun
When was the public ever in favor of this?
Never was. Their goal was to sneak it past the voters, that’s why they keep lying about what’s in it and concealing Trump’s connection to it.
This isn’t a one and done thing. P2025 is the Heritage foundation, long time conservative economic think tank funded by the Kochs. They’re pushing this agenda and it doesn’t matter who knows since this is a plan to seize power. They put out these demented sounding policy agenda and they stick to the plan, more or less, in working toward. Trying out different wordings, spamming out policy proposals and voting agenda items like the ones in this plan; copy pasted from existing bills written for other States. Look at how trans legislation is going in this country.
In the media they’ll try out different framings of these issues, start bringing in grifters in the media to frame these issues “creatively” to the public. Most of these framings will be terrible, awful, but one will catch on and then it becomes part of public consciousness almost over night.
And they’re doing this for all of these issues. People sometimes say that the capitalist class only cares about the next quarter, but these think tanks funded by the capitalist class, are able to look ahead decades. A good example of this is the Powell memo, written in the 70s by the chamber of commerce. Compared to when it was written they’ve gotten maybe 85% of what they asked for, and the mechanisms to get that last fraction of whatever is left of the US labor movement have been working and are “interpreted” into law by our conservative supreme court and the closely-linked Federalist Society.
Project 2025 gets rejected by a mostly ambivalent voting base. Big defeat, Democrats patting each other on the back. But the machine keeps working for decades as long as there’s funding coming from major donors; unless it gets completely defeated, as in the people responsible are put on trial, Nuremberg style.
This seems like a good place to link Robert Evans BTB episode: “How Conservatism Won” in which “Robert sits down with David Bell to discuss how a consortium of rich failsons got together to fund a network of right wing think tanks and shift American culture in a fun new direction. (note: it was not actually fun at all).” The tl;dr is basically the rich hated FDRs New Deal and immediately set to work to undo everything he did.
The above commenter has nailed it, it’s not even a conspiracy, it’s all easily verifiable. These people do not share our American values. They do not value freedoms (speech, press, religion, etc) the same way that many of us do. They want a return to the gilded age with them as the robber barons and gentry and everyone else as a permanent, toiling underclass.
it’s not even a conspiracy
It’s literally a conspiracy.
He meant conspiracy theory. There is nothing theoretical about this conspiracy.
Maybe, but there’s a weird stigma around “conspiracies” like they are politically unserious, or something that only people having paranoid delusions believe. Conspiracy theories often appear around very real evidence that is contradictory to the official story, or coincidences that are too frequent and conspicuous to be ignored. The milieu that has grown up around conspiracy theories is practically a consumer identity at this point, and often accomplishes little more than masking antisemitism, or providing passive revenue streams to mysterious grifter entities, like Q. But nothing will make you seem like more of a nut than telling your friends three things that the CIA openly admits to doing. Misinformation is and always has been rampant.
I don’t have a lot of patience for conspiracy theories, but if you look at history there are a lot of incidents that were denied by the official story, and the people saying them were humiliated or had their careers destroyed or worse; that later it turns out they were correct when files get declassified decades later. So I’m just speaking to the stigma against the idea of conspiracies, they exist. People with similar interests “conspire,” sometimes diabolically, to ensure their interests come to fruition. And to deny that is dangerously naive.
Sure, in language that obfuscates their actual goals and after all the other subversive shit like installing their puppet judges to the supreme court that led to those goals becoming remotely achievable against the will of voters at large.
Even if they don’t get these goals passed at a federal level, it works as a playbook for state lawmakers. Some of us are already living under those kinds of rules, and the next legislative sessions are going to see lots of these kinds of things pushed in states.
The duality of their situation.
You got the people who know the score and the true objective: To leverage a tenuous victorious position to tilt the scales persistently in their favor in a rather undemocratic way. For them, this is something to shut the hell up about and do on the down low.
Then you have the true believers, who think this is a plan to clean up some perceived “deep state” conspiracy to cheat the elections, and only fair to “fix” the problem that the popular voice is not being honored. Those are the folks that wanted a big ol website for it and to shout it from the rooftops.
Now of course, you’d think the true believers might get a bit rattled at the apparent eagerness to bury it and keep quiet and not tell the voters about it too much.
And then we have the legions of young men who worship Andrew Tate that either openly support P2025 because “women bad” or act like it’s not a real thing.
Yes, a 900+ page manifesto made by a think tank was made for the lulz.

Like… do they even hear themselves? Hitler didn’t wait for the parliament to grant him power, he just declared it… and everyone just went with it.
Really shows that checks on government actions only works when the checks do something and have the power to act on it.
This is something inherent in Parliament based governments. In theory, the Prime Minister is suppose to be held accountable by their own political party. However, in reality the Prime Minister’s party just goes with whatever the Prime Minister says.
At no point in time. But it seems the public was largely ignorant, and thus apathetic, of it. The more knowledge, the more resistance.
The perfect plan for a Judge Dredd universe. But the public just HAD to be all, “oh, we don’t LIKE that plan. It prevents us from staying alive!”
Tie that shit to Trump and his weasel running mate. He is already trying to back away from it.
It’s very much so tied to him already.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/11/politics/trump-allies-project-2025/index.html
No shit, the vast majority of the public hates republican policy. Most people are too lazy to vote or vote against their best interests because of stupid reasons like racism or wanting to hurt others.
Because it fucken sucks and its plain to see even through the legalese.
How am I going to lock down my eighteen year old trad wife now?
Eighteen? Have you SEEN how hard they push to drop the age of consent?!
To the Gilead crowd, if she’s not on her 2nd child by 18 then they send the council around to find out why.
I think states with 18 is already a minority
and oh my it is so amusing to see the politicians from such states defend it with weird scenario after weird scenario while still shuffling off their underaged daughters to wealthy middle aged ranchers.
You misspelled fourteen.
Eighteen year old? Really?
Edit: like the other replies, I was also going for a joke about how 18 was too old for them, but nobody bit on my two-part misdirection setup so they beat me to it. : (
My kids are all IVF. We spent a lot of money on that. Money comes from countless work hours. On the sentimental side, it was a horrible rollercoaster ride of having to follow an injection schedule, going to the doc for check-ups or for removing eggs or for jacking off into a cup right next to the doctor’s office. Lots of embarrassing moments. My kids are awesome and I would do it all over again. Fuck these project 2025 assholes. If I want to be gay and get IVF done, I will. I don’t need to ask others for permission or legality. That’s what freedom is about. That’s what American is about.
I was with you until that last sentence. You guys need to cut that shit out and get real.
That’s what American is all about? LOL 😂. I just tossed that in like salt on a dead cow 🍔 burger. Or a salad 🥗.
Sorry that you still have a king. American exceptionalism is alive and well, trust me.
Okay, sure, there’s definitely American exceptionalism. But freedom? Most of American freedoms had to be fought over and are relatively recent. Woman’s rights and gender rights have declined recently, so please, keep striving for that exceptional ideal.
People having basic human rights isn’t what I’d call ‘exceptional’, especially when many places already do far better.
That’s the problem.
