I wonder if that’s a realistic objective for the US. I’m more on the nit-and-grit side of the industry w chemistry n shit but based on raw numbers the countries the US intends to hurt the most are coasting by far better than US allies which are allowed minimal independent refinement capacity. I’m sure the US wouldn’t mind failing another sanction-war and settling for fucking over their allies they seem physically incapable of not doing that even after the agonizing process of Covid & Ukraine.
