People from other countries of America often call US citizens “gringos” or “Yankees” with disgust.

I may have to adopt using Yankee over USian. I picked up the second one a while ago on account of the distinction about who all is actually “American”, but USian does feel pretty clunky.

“Gringos” is a slang for foreigners, not something exclusive for Americans. I would be a gringo in Chile even though I’m from Brazil.
