Does anybody else wonder whether some public image advisor got Mr Dutton to get Glasses to change up his look/style?
Maybe he used to wear contacts? Maybe his eyes have deteriorated a bit with age lately? But maybe, someone told him that glasses would improve his image with the public?
It’s just idle musings, and not really related to his work at all. So, I recognise and acknowledge that even bringing it up is a bit immature of me. But yeah, I honestly have been wondering whether he has a stylist zhizhing him up a little.
Nah, I thought the same thing. He seemed to start wearing them not long after people started comparing his appearance to Voldemort.
I naturally assumed that they don’t even have a prescription to the lenses.
He just needs them to make him look less terrifying.
I’m not sure whether he specifically chose glasses to change his persona, but there would absolutely have been advice given about the frame. They would have picked something to match whatever image he was going for - intelligence, empathy, etc. Possibly to make him appear slightly less ridiculous in political cartoons, too. Voldemort never wore glasses!
I think he got the glasses about the same time he had to get his wife to say that he wasn’t a monster.

But we don’t live in a fantasy world…"
