This year XMRChat has gone from an idea, to a site where 55+ content creators made tip pages. Streamers and podcasters from the Monero community, Bitcoin, tech, privacy, and more! The goal is to expose many audiences to Monero, giving them a positive experience using it as money.

Xmrchat is a great example of a “native Monero app”. Using Monero’s cheap, always private/fungible transactions, to allow streamers to receive digital cash tips direct from their viewers! No middlemen. No fees. No censorship.
What excites us most about @xmr_chat is that this utility can be useful to all Streamer types. Not just crypto or Monero people. What streamer wouldn’t want to receive tips directly with no fees? It is especially useful to streamers that don’t want to be at the whim of corps that need to bend the knee to the banking cartel, and may censor streamers from receiving their tips if they are covering a “controversial” topic.
Xmrchat is a free speech money app. Help us grow it , and grow monero, as larger “freedom fighting” streamers discover its utility!

It’s really a cool idea, though, it should be run on Android and iOS. And there is still the problem to buy Monero to tip authors. I buy a bit for my needs on Exolix or houdini swap. But I am not ready to buy 0.05 for tips
The XMRChat site looks great on a mobile browser, how about trying that?
Mining is a great way to get many small amounts of XMR to use for tips. The main site has a FAQ that lists several ways to get Monero you can look at too.
The minimum is 0.01 xmr which is 2.13$ or 2.04€.
If you are not ready to buy 2€ of xmr to tip your favorite content creators, I’m guessing the “buying the xmr” is not the issue here…
Besides no one is forcing anyone to do anything.
Actually, the sitewide minimum tip was recently made even less, only 0.0001 XMR, or 2 cents. Each content creator with a tip page is able to set their own minimum tip amount higher if they’d like.
