Is it not incredible how the same people who are talking about how the west is descending into fascism also think that the west has moral superiority over the rest of the world and has the right to impose their values on the global majority.

I have met people from the US (in person!) who genuinely think along the following lines:

    • Them: The election is coming up and I hate Trump, so I’ll probably vote for Biden.

    • Me: But Biden is just as bad as Trump, and is facilitating war and Genocide.

    • Them: Yeah maybe, but Trump is way worse for AMERICANS domestically, because he wants to take away LGBT and minority rights, so he’s the greater evil

    • Me: Why vote for evil at all? Why not pick a third party with better policies overall?

    • Them: Because that’s unrealistic and they have no chance.

I don’t understand how they think that they are bastions of democracy and morality in the world when they rationalize voting for literal warmongering genociders on the grounds that at the very least the genocide is happening abroad and they don’t have to care about it so long as they themselves have their social justices intact. And what tf sort of democracy do they have when the most basic concept of people choosing their leaders is done away with so easily that they resign themselves to one of two options because they cannot be bothered to take part in their politics beyond choosing red or blue instead of attempting to build some sort of opposition to them.

Yup, that’s literally the only argument I’ve seen libs articulate when pressed. Gotta vote for the lesser evil because there are no other options, but also this is the best system possible folks.

The whiplash from “were great because democracy and everybody gets to have a real meaningful choice” to “you might not like it but this is democracy so this is the only vote that makes sense, if you do anything else you’re wasting your vote and youre also a republican” is pretty overwhelming

Them: Because that’s unrealistic and they have no chance

Which means the system is incapable of producing a decent outcome and must therefore be overthrown

I think the worst part of all this is how Biden is being presented as the option against fascism. With Obama, you could weakly argue that he was hip/cool because he was Black and relatively young. Biden is practically dead. Plus he said shit like how he did not want his kids to grow up in a racial jungle. I feel like with how focused on focus groups Democrats are at least they would not have a frontrunner who is such an eyesore.

For sure, also anybody who’s outside the lib bubble can clearly see that Trump has become more popular than ever as a result of Biden’s policies. It’s kind of absurd to argue that Biden is the solution when we have concrete proof that he’s not.

I don’t think they have anyone else besides Biden who can come close to Trump in terms of popularity, as weird as it sounds.

Bernie, as disappointing as he is on Gaza, exists. But that would mean even the smallest bit of table crumbs going to the proles.

IMO if they had any sense, they’d convince him to run. It’s not like he’s much older than Biden (81 vs 82). But I honestly don’t think there’s the political will to have anything even remotely akin to a new New Deal.

If Bernie was somehow elected the outcome would be exactly identical as in case of Biden, because the reason for electing this or that dude would stay the same. Not to mention US mainstream succdems prove all the time that they are only performatively different than the ghoul lib block and even that difference is barely noticeable nowadays.

Liberals only care about their material interests and will justify any evil taking place to protect them. End all be all. Let’s be honest about what liberals are. SecondThought did a really great video titled “The Most Dangerous Thing in the Western Hemisphere” yesterday and it’s perfect.

I believe in the Liberal hypocrsies especially when they:

      • claimed to follow the redefinition of Capitalism to oppose government intervention into the economy, but then follow the original definition of Capitalism to implement heavy government intervention to support the rich 1% withe the Bretton Woods Institutions and racist white governments.

      • accuse Nazi German for the Nazi Holocaust, but continued their Indian Residential fake school Holocaust that inspired the Nazi Holocaust.

      • claimed to support property rights, but rob from Indigenous people under the pretense that the Indigenous people lack “proper” documentation of their properties.

      • force poor countries specialization in a very specific economic sector which made them financially unstable and economically dependent on a foreign country, but implement protectionism to protect economic sectors in Western European diaspora countries for “security” reason.

      • claim to oppose terrorism against innocent people, but then conduct terrorist attacks against a crowd of people to kill imagined terrorist suspects within the crowd of people.

      • claimed to oppose coerced confession, but support coerced confession against criminal and terrorist suspects and then use the coerced confession as the absolution evidence of guilt under the excuse that a person will never confess to crimes that they had not commited.

      • claimed to oppose authoritarian practices, but employ extremely crual torture practices that they developed from the Indian Residential fake schools against terrorist suspects under the excuse that torture and terrorism is the only method against terrorism.

Lol exactly what i concluded, liberals only care about aesthetics and rhetoric, they will oppose any type of material struggle. Thats why they love “the marketplace of ideas!”

Liberals don’t care about the material world, they just care about the metaphysical world. In other words, they just care about rhetoric and aesthetics.

This is why liberals are obsessed with debatelords.

It’s not only about the values, but through them the entire ideology, culture, worldview. Individualism/extreme liberalism was chosen as the grand unifier of exploiter and exploited countries precisely because it is concerned about individuals only.

I always think about stuff like this. Westerners love to talk about how much they hate other people and how miserable everything is but will still turn around and preach to marginalized and oppressed people domestically and abroad that this is the best system and we are justified using war to “spread” it across the globe

The seed of fascism is present in every liberal, and even social conservatism and the move to what they’d call conservatism (really, just a slightly different form of liberalism).

When they deem the state/nation to not be doing well, because say birth rates are low, they decide men of wö (Disco Elysium, fascist quest) and the gays are at fault - who cares if they don’t want to have children? They must, or the nation will suffer for it. If there’s international competition, then it must be made uncompetitive by either threats or violence (and their nationalists see it that way too, but from a different perspective). If there’s internal enemies, or too much bickering making the state fall behind, then violence, etc. If the economy is doing badly because of strikes (or I’m convinced it is, by say being inconvenienced by blocked streets, etc.) then the workers must be put down for my… OUR sakes. etc.

Of course, it’s the petty bourgeois that are the driving force of fascism. The haute bourgeois support the status quo for the most part (no matter what it is), as long as they’re allowed to remain influential and use the state to maintain that position.

The moralistic stories of human rights etc. are merely a justification in the superstructure, while the “a place in the sun” competition is still a driving force in liberal society.

Our flaws are tragic mistakes, individualized bad apples, noble in intent even when disastrous in execution

Their flaws are bone deep, an indictment of their system, a chilling reflection of their societal character

  • My favorite liberal contradiction is flip-flopping between X being unacceptable to acceptable when anyone that isn’t a straight white male does it. They condemn capitalist degeneracy and corruption in one way or another but completely forfeit these positions as soon as these same capitalists raise pride flags/BLM brands while continuing their degenerate acts in secret.
