I think that’s pretty cool that you have it set up that way over there! Not something we would do, though.
We do accept Donations in Monero (and other crypto too.) and I think that’s about as much as we’re going to go. I can’t see locking registration behind crypto donation being anything but a huge pain for people, and it’d probably only hurt us, especially since we’re heavily defederated.
Yeah, crypto is complicated and very niche in itself, even our instance still allows registration through proving you’re not a bot by posting to existing social media or messaging the admin on matrix.
