I mean i can accept that switching to Mastadon is a bridge too far for them, but why the hell all these officials, politics, journalists etc are still on the service formerly known as twitter really is beyond me.

implement a feature in the app I use to auto read them so they stay hidden
Sure would be great if they would be automatically grouped or automatically marked as read

How about all the amazon, microsoft and Google services they continue to rely on. The US has Europe by their balls.

But I am just trying to survive somehow.
I know the struggle.

The BBC is supposed to be impartial and objective
With emphasis on supposed to be. I think they got enough heat with that Trump documentary they rather play it safe. If there was no need to stress employees have to use the right words while doing their job like they usually do, there wouldn’t have been an email asking them to.

Maybe if the napped person acts like an adult, but this was a spoiled kid that got napped (by another spoiled kid though).

I like apple’s stuff too, but don’t let the fact that it all works so well convince you apple is a good company. Apple is evil in many ways, from how they treat the factory workers to how they treat their customers. They give you high quality but they overcharge you while they take your freedom. If they wanted to they could have designed an ecosystem that let’s you add a product made by another company, but they don’t do that because they rather suck you dry.

When you see it as black and white than Aldi equals any other US business - but i’d argue it’s a more gradual thing and there is an actual difference. First because the top company is European a larger part ends up in European hands and also it could mean difference in policies.
Yeah i guess that can only become the biggest fear once the more important things are in order

Makes me think of this iconic 1996 Dutch tv-‘commercial’ warning people of the dangers of firework. Very fine marketing, bit less desturbing:

So… still reliant on Google & Amazon then?
Good point, hope they are aware of that. But this is a much less dangerous reliance compared to how we rely on visa and mastercard.
I believe some ants grow wings so maybe Santa grows a sleigh with reindeer :)

Maybe watch this video then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jrYlp8VPKs

Thank you for describing how strong they seem.

But nvidea didn’t invest in Nokia because of those things

But now they’re even weaker then they seemed after that. But Russia trying to look bigger then they are is nothing new, I agree.
I recognised this problem years ago and decided to also let them eat bugs in plain sight. Unfortunately my house isn’t big enough to counter evolution on my own, but I feel there is more people out there who also stopped killing spiders because of this.
