In a three way contest between Starmer (the incumbent), Miliband, and Streeting it would signal total no confidence in Starmer. Two soft lefties vs one right winger of the party. The left will split their votes and give Wes an easy route to power. Starmer would have to resign to prevent that to ensure the vote doesn’t get split. Question is, will he?

At least he has his tool making and nurse family skills to fall back on. Did you know his dad was a tool maker? And his mother… a nurse?

Labour leadership elections are conducted using preferential voting, so vote splitting shouldn’t be a problem.

I’m very confused by that categorisation.

Ed: Soft left, sure. Which of the other two are you placing with him?

    That man looks so unwell.

The desperation to become a leader is a massive red flag that they shouldn’t be a leader.
