100%. Japan, the Philippines, the ROC and the ROK are all attempting to militarise in an effort to encircle China, and Korea being this big boogieman manufactured by the west is being propped up as an evil Japan must protect itself from.
It’ll be interesting to see how quickly Korea can modernise its navy fleet in preparation for an inevitable confrontation.
im filipino and it always astounds me how anyone thinks we’re on the team (not as a state but ppl among us who think we’re ‘acting independently’ when we talk about the south china sea or collaborating w the usa. we are NOT on the team we are getting backseat driven but midway thru the ride they kicked us out the seat and switched places)
