The Labour chief whip Alan Campbell positioned himself right next to Commons speaker to shout repeatedly “no no” when the Speaker Lindsay Hoyle asked whether MPs supported the Boris Johnson report.
His shouts triggered the vote.
Absolutely legendary politi-trolling. The Labour chief whip wasn’t really objecting. He definitely voted aye. He just wanted to force every single Tory present to go on record as being for or against BoJo.
He’ll likely have abstained, since there’s a convention that you vote the same way in the division as you called in the House - https://guidetoprocedure.parliament.uk/articles/9RMwklWv/vote-follows-voice
The Noes were: William Cash; Nick Fletcher; Adam Holloway; Karl McCartney; Joy Morrissey; Heather Wheeler; All Con.
Chris Bryant says on the hellsite that Desmond Swayne also voted no.
118 Conservatives voted Aye

Absolute barnstormer from Martin Docherty-Hughes (SNP)!
It’s gone to a vote then, be interesting to see how strong Johnson is right now.
