I think the fundamental challenge here is that you’re asking people to be “class traitors,” so to speak. Due to patriarchy, it is against the interest of a man to fight against rape culture. The same goes for white people fighting white supremacy. That’s why it’s uncommon, because it is indeed ceding your position of dominance in these social hierarchies. Nonetheless, it is ethical and moral to do so; this is not excusing inaction or ineptitude but rather explaining its pervasiveness.
