bleh don’t remind me about skiff. i made a spare account for least important stuff there only to witness this “sunsetting”; i hope theyll all get fired as fast and joyful as they sold themselves to notion

they’re still slightly better than proton which recently started to promote their premium down the throats. my partner noticed that tuta’s sub changed slightly since the time he paid fo it - he wouldn’t notice otherwise because i had to get it
why i have a feeling that they pick this “hot topic” only to promote themselves in a really lazy way
spez is hungryyyyy [insert The Idiot’s Lantern Doctor Who episode monster]
They probably decided that tiktok-kind of users is their target now. Users who mindlessly get engaged with site and who don’t mind watching ads, get profiled etc. - because they can’t distinguish between content they consume
less attractive, more punchable bad luck brian
From what I’ve seen around some subs moved and continued its existence, while other didn’t become active and in some cases people just snatched names of subs on most active instances expecting probably that people just flock in. Some subs attended the protests and returned to the usual activity but it seems that majority didn’t bother. Small number moved to discord or were there already extending community activity.
Fediverse seems to be attractive to people who are both consuming and providing content and who are also engaged in technology to the particular degree. Majority obviously doesn’t give a single flying fuck about what happen to reddit by badluckhuffman hands and just waited till blackout will be over.
Btw, in case you missed it: there’s pixelfed - federated replacement for instagram but it doesn’t seem to be that much popular
Yeah, as people would expect seeing something else here.
Stay fucking away from facebook, meta and zuckerberg as much as you can people
I’ve read comments saying that people flee facebook to instagram already in last 4 years as it become ridden with unrelated content and features nobody wants (obviously). People want to mainly share their photos so they went for instagram as it seem to fit their needs and perhaps meta tries to capture the audience there with their new shiny thing. The fact that musk is successfully killing off twitter might also affect their decision to bring this “killer app” up - they want to reach those who have twitter, who tend to get news from there (not mention fb also tries to be a news provider). It’s all about trapping people within meta walled garden.
Years have pass by and zuckerberg still tries to be an answer to all activity on the Internet with this ad and tracking ridden freak show - nothing new happens here, I’d say.
Offline as its not being synchronized into the cloud anywhere; if I need it elsewhere I just copy it manually from main OS. I could use some solution but its not worth efforts to my needs. What I keep in bitwarden is enough for my mobile needs
Say whatever you like but “a privacy-preserving telemetry” sounds to me like an oxymoron.
Im using bitwarden for mobile devices filled with crucial credentials and my main vault is a full offline database in keepassxc
Ye, Im curious how things gonna play out
People there seem to dont give a flying duck or are unaware whats up. All the communities that seem to carry subs I followed there arent that much active. At least for now - hope that soon this will change. Also, welcome o/
ive got philips body groomer which in time become somehow a curiosity: once its fully charged it runs until battery gets dry as it should but if i by any chance press the button i need to the whole cycle charge
