Probably a shift from “allow by default” to “deny by default”. Instead of just letting anyone create an account and start posting, more sites will become invite-only and/or require manual approval before posts become visible.

I’ve been dabbling in ASSTR, though haven’t found anything I’ve really liked yet. Mostly what I’m finding are stories that are good for a bit, and then veer into “not my fetish” territory. It’s an enormous site though, so I’m sure I’ll find something I’ll like eventually.
Looks good now. :)
Megumin is gone now, and the list does look shorter. Still have a bunch of small instances though. Random sampling:
Also, on Firefox with a narrower window (innerWidth of 1200ish), the leftmost and rightmost columns are cut off around their halfway points. I can horizontal scroll to see the full rightmost column, but not the leftmost. Any way that you could make the cards flow to naturally fit the browser window, instead of being in a hard grid? A similar thing happens on Firefox mobile, but with only 2 columns instead of 5.
Seems like it’s still including the small instances? For example, lemmy.megumin.org is on there, even though it only has 6 users.
The anti-harassment policy probably helps there. Also, exploding-heads having defederated us. The loli protects, apparently.
Might be better not to set that particular train in motion.
The image is still accessible on their server through that link, so it looks like purging the post doesn’t get rid of the image.
Is this why .moe is so cute and funny?
My fediverse addiction is far worse than my reddit addiction ever was
From my very brief look at this one and my only passing familiarity with stonetoss, they seem fairly similar
Just took a look at the guy’s other comics, out of curiosity. Pretty fuckin yikes. Holocaust denial and the like.
This one is just a one-off, unfortunately. Artist is Mosha, character is from Air Gear.
The canary is triggered through inaction, not action. The government would have to compel the target of the subpoena to keep updating the canary on schedule.
