I don’t have anything to add per se.
But I guess my question is - what does it matter insofar as using the software. It’s open source and intended for distrubuted use. So, the creators intentions are a bit… Irrelevant - no?
Best to separate the art from the artist so to speak. Otherwise, should we not save lives with immoraly gained medical insights, and not appreciate civil rights gains from an adulterer?
To me, it just came across as petulant. Ironically, the “conclusion” was basically a TLDR for anyone interested.
I’m a lurker doing a little posting/commenting to “be the change I want to see” so to speak. If lemmy gets bigger, I will likely return to my lurker ways.
