Cannot wait. This will be my first time seeing Gojira live
This is fantastic news!
Thanks! Yep it’s the Mega-Monsters Tour, stoked to see Mastodon too.
I’ve been afraid to look at setlists, but that is one helluva setlist right there.
I’ve heard it a hundred times, and I still teared up a bit when listening to it today. Masterpiece, so emotionally and aurally heavy.
A lot of great responses here already. I wanted to offer a few thoughts.

Came to the comments to make sure Mike Patton was mentioned! One my favorite vocalists, with an incredible range of unique vocal styles across so many musical outfits: Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantômas, Tomahawk, Peeping Tom, etc.
Still Life was my first introduction to Opeth. It took me a longer than it should have to go back and check out this album. This track, When, Demon of the Fall, all bangers.
Fun fact: the album name, “My Arms, Your Hearse”, is a reference to a Comus song called “Drip Drip”
Thanks for writing this up. I’m going to check out the ones I don’t know. Yob is love, btw
God this album rips. And I rip while I listen to it
Does anyone else have “unexpectedly doom” songs from artists not generally considered doom?
Love In the Company of Serpents. Middle Pillar is one of my favorites
What an incredible album!
That polyrhythm that kicks in around 5:40 and lasts for 2 minutes. chef’s kiss
