It’s a cat and mouse game for contact numbers. For example, Android’s Messages app can report all phone numbers of sent and received messages back to Google. You will never get millions of users to change which proprietary app they use for texting, so I do my part to have no numbers, no contacts, and never send a text message.

There’s why I do not have or use Contacts on phone. There is no phone numbers in my phone. I have a couple copies of a text file with phone numbers save on USB’s and I think a BSD server. There’s no contact info that apps can scan to get other people’s emails or numbers.

All of the extensions on the Firefox Addon website seem to install fine in IceCat. The extensions will be updated automatically. I recommend after installing IceCat disable all of the extensions that come with it built in or websites won’t load as expected.

I think you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between Firefox and Librewolf as you do all of your normal business with websites, but prove me wrong.

For IceCat, my main browser, you have to do a web search for the extensions you want and install the extension from their website, from Github, or from Firefox Addons. The IceCat FSF have a mentality of believing the only way to protect people’s freedom, which never ever includes freedom of choice, is to have total tyrannical control and eliminate all options for users that don’t conform to FSF philosophy because users aren’t smart enough to know what not to install. So the IceCat people say the best way to protect people is cut off their ability to natively search Firefox Add-on website.

I’m curious to ask you, why do you use Distraction free YouTube instead of FreeTube? Do you need native YouTube functionality or do you post comments?

It sounds like essentially “Do not post anything that expresses a different opinion.” and the “No anti-science topics” sounds like “Do not post documentation that proves our belief is false or wrong.”

That sounds like one of those internet-only words from people who are socially crippled and live exclusively on the internet and not enough time outside meeting atrangers to socialize

Outside of North America where businesses use Whatsapp for customer service instead of phone service and advertise their Whatsapp number, that’s not an option. People could use Signal as well but keep Whatsapp for contact.
