It’s literally the opposite. It’s very rare to work for a company that will consistently give you cost of living and performance increases that would outweigh a lateral move to another company. Someone who stays with the same company for more than five years is likely losing money to stay there.
I’ve seen both. Making science accessible is always a good thing. He also has moments where he’ll aggressively debate someone over the Amazon river basin or ancient civilizations when it’s apparent he’s out of his element.
In fairness, he actually knows a lot about astrophysics. The problem is that he likes to pontificate on all things science as if he’s degreed in every field.

The husband in the couple I still speak with is in finance. He knows to liquidate before a Republican takes office and buy the dip. He even tried to get me to take the maximum loan out against my 401k and move the rest to utility stocks to protect it. I should’ve listened.
I only still talk with one couple who voted for Trump first term but knew better this time around. I’m fairly sure they’re going to vote for Democrats in the midterms though. They want this madness to stop. I bet they go right back to voting red after that though.

That’s true. Fahrenheit is just as flawed. It was originally created so 0° was the freezing temperature of brine (an inconsistent solution) and 100° as the average internal human body temperature (actually 98.6°).
