Female love interest from the Goofy Movie. “Roxanne” I think?
Wow. Friday is here and my list of things to do is getting smaller. Just the one thing scheduled in the calendar meeting wise, but when I got in this morning there has been a massive failure at one location that I have to deal with as top priority.
Put everything in place and all of a sudden I’m hit with the sleepies as a result of our coffee beans running out and there not being enough for my normal IV drip of coffee that would last me the day.
On Sunday I’ve made a plan to do a bunch of snacky cooking while my wife takes the son to the park for a few ours. By the time they’re back I’m hoping to have a smorgasboard of delights for us to kill off the evening with a movie. Maybe OG Space Jam? Other suggestions appropriate for a 3-4 year old are welcome.
That’s awesome.
I have been trying to subliminally encourage my wife to learn to knit/crochet/sew for years, I think it’s a great hobby to have but I’m just not dexterous enough. It would be a good one to keep her from mindlessly scrolling as she’s trying to avoid at the moment and it would also allow me to ask for cool crocheted figures and I’ve always liked the idea of having a bunch of plain shirts that have some custom pattern sewn into them. Selfish? Maybe.
Got any patterns and tools I could casually leave in her evening chill spot and she may just suddenly do from a beginner and get her excited to do more?
That’s why it’s called the recovery position. You’ll recover faster in it.
But think of the style points!
Awk: Survival Evolved
It’s a game about surviving the most awkward situations you could possibly get into as a modern school kid. Parents giving you the sex talk. Forgetting your gym clothes and having to do it in your underwear. etc.
So capitalism the game.
“Things that sound like an awful combination”
I don’t feel that this one fits the bill. Why would those two flavours be awful together? Beef + cheese = good
Haha. Tickled me at least.
Last night I stood out on the back steps for 5 minutes or so just absorbing the moisture in the rain directly to my soul.
Somehow it was still dry as a nuns wotsit this morning when I walked into the office.
The trick to avoiding nonreddit is reminding myself how angry everyone is at reddit. 😂
Tell me more friend. I had a browse, so you’ve set up your own instance with only your account on. Then from there, you can essentially manage your own version of lemmy/kbin etc. with your own subscriptions and it’ll federate those magazines?
I think this could be the answer for the way I intend to go forward.
Haha. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.
I’ll steer clear of the nearby coast at this time of year. It’s too crowded, too hot, and there’s sand everywhere. Mostly I just hate the people.
Wait a minute. You’re right! It’s Fridddaaaay! Woooooooooo
Haha, the weather I hadn’t factored in until you just said it. I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’m-in-danger.gif
Haha, well it’s cultivated over years. I don’t think I could live anywhere that didn’t have some form of decent restaurant options and people I could occasionally subject to my imitation of good cooking. As for music, I’m not like the headbanging rock live music type, but a casual evening listening to Hans Zimmer? That’s a music event for me.
You must have chosen to live out in the sticks if that isn’t a little bit of an option?
Going out tonight to have a nice steak at a new Steakhouse in town. Then stroll down the hill to see some live music be played in the venue I got married in.
No child to look after tonight so a nice full night sleep 🤨
Tomorrow hosting two friends and going to make a Beef Wellington for the first time, excited to do that.
“That’s one hell of an explanation to give to the arresting police officer. And I’d appreciate if you didn’t call me a twat.”
Ha. I don’t mind the rain noise so much. But getting used to the Pink Noise was surprisingly painless that first night.
Interesting. I’m currently on the “Reputation doesn’t mean anything” modus operandi. It might be something we will all need to consider moving forward though.
