From a philosophy teacher I expected better than hyperbole and a binary argument.
Do better.

You are conflating things that are not the same in a fence-straddling argument. There are things that objectively cause harm. Using X’s Grok to make CSAM. Using AI to deepfake people telling outright lies or giving damaging instructions to the public. Inciting people to engage in illegal behavior. We already have definitions of harmful speech, what we also have is people arguing that it isn’t harmful because it serves their agenda.
Disagreeing with someone is not even close and shouldn’t even be part of the discussion when considering actual censorship. Philosophy is a lovely fun exercise in arguing every point on the curve of a circle, but it doesn’t keep the Nazis from taking power.

Yeah. I’m as tired of the argument that pretty much anything goes as far as free speech goes as I am of the “everything is a slippery slope when we make laws to keep people from doing harmful shit.”
I mean what’s the required damage before people put a stop to inciteful speech and objectively harmful lies? Or making CSAM of kids using a platform like X? Germany had to kill a few million people before they decided that maybe displaying Nazi symbols and speech wasn’t a good idea. So we have a platform being used to make CSAM. What’s it going to take before someone says that this is a bad idea and shouldn’t be done? How many kids will commit suicide after being taunted and shamed for their images being used? How many is “enough”? There should be immediate action to end the means to use these tools to make porn, there’s plenty of porn available on the internet and making it from user-submitted images on a major public platform is a horrible idea, but too many make up all kinds of reasons why we can’t do that…economic, censorship, whatever.

“They’ll just find someone else…” and send the objector to the front. Not trying to be an apologist for these people, but just “quitting” was probably was a risky choice.

Oooh, someone’s disagreeing with me or using some argument fallacy to make themselves more right.

Dystopian techno-city.

Paid $1.65 for eggs there the other day. Half the cheapest regular grocery store price in my area. Meats at Aldi aren’t so great. Cuts are tougher, and I’ve found that the per-pound cost is about the same as the lower prices at regular stores. Aldi’s stuff isn’t trimmed as well, and once you get the fat trimmed you wind up about the same $/lb. Chicken is still a decent deal there.

Hard to believe these things are effective. Seem relatively vulnerable to small arms fire and even a wet towel.

These are the same ones that complain that drama always follows them and that it’s everyone else around them that are causing all the trouble. These people can be fun to hang out with, but not remain close to for long periods. They tend to be self destructive.
There’s plenty of adults. Anon just isn’t hanging out with them.
Worst part is you can remember that you were remembering something and you can’t even remember what led to remembering.

Yeah, no…
Casettes were still well in use into the ‘90s. CDs were expensive, and unless you bought a new car or had an aftermarket CD player installed, CD players were not likely in your car. I didn’t have a factory cd player installed in a car until 2004. Before that it was a portable player with a cassette adapter.
So a 40yo would have a good shot at getting this joke. A 50yo should have no excuse.
Yes. We have gained wild material wealth relatively compared to a thousand years ago. However, we traded the shared community or village we had for the wealth.

Oh look, another plain-speaking “smart” republican that needs interpretation and rationalization to tell us who he really is and what he really means.
Sure man. Canned speeches vs real time. Not even in the same league as Obama. Dude got the job because of the family name and thought it would be an easy ride until reality hit him right in thr nose. Then he got all fundy and stubborn. Know who else graduated from prestigious schools and is president? Yeah, bet you can guess.

I print spells in landscape. Only two lines.

Next it’ll be some cheap android phone with a gold colored shell and “Trump” on it somewhere.

The man who knows where the bodies are buried.
Haven’t done that yet. However, remembering that I had a specific thing I need to another thing with, I just don’t know where I put it even though I have a pretty good idea where it might be. Proceed to start digging through things to find it, and while doing so, find various other items (oh, that’s where this is, I’ll have to remember this!) and then find the thing I was looking for and it’s not what I needed. Dammit.
And I’ll remember that I found the other things; I only retain the knowledge I found stuff, but I can’t remember what it was I found!
Lol I clearly stated there is a demarcation between objectively damaging speech and disagreement. Try again dude. What are you, a closeted republican? As soon as someone challenges you devolve into “no, u!”, make accusations of being attacked, and make shit up about your opponent while engaging in projection?
F off. We’re done.
