In my 30’s I worked with people with developmental disabilities. There was a 45 year old man I worked with occasionally who had brain damage from a fever when he was a baby. He had a strange fetish for dirty diapers and could not control it at all. If he smelled or saw a dirty diaper he was getting in there and there was no stopping it. I got called by his worker one day to help get him out of a dumpster. He found a bag of dirty diapers and was like a dog on a poop pile, rolling around and smearing it everywhere. Gross.

We live in the same place. Pickled beets and overly expensive thrift stores.

Vote it away. It’s been a joke for so long and people cling to the idea that it works so badly. I am Canadian. We are also past voting. The systems of government must be torn down. They are corrupt and do not work for the people.

Need more disks…

I’ve been physically ill lately and my brain is even more fucked than usual. This is happening on the regular now. Like multiple times a day.

I’m 7 days into a massive gallstone attack. I’ve been diagnosed and waitlisted for surgery twice now (Canada) but healthcare is falling apart here. I can’t wait any longer. Yesterday I told the doctors if they won’t do anything I will publicly commit suicide in a very loud and publicized way. I can’t take this shit anymore. Its a 30 minute surgery and ive been having major problems since May. Our country is falling apart but the grocery stores and telcos are making more than ever so we’re all good right…right?

As a disabled person who does not make enough money to exist, this is how I see it for social programs as well. Keep the sick and injured in a constant state of anxiety and neediness until they finally break and ask for maid. It’s easier to get maid than it is to be respected as a human being.

That being said, also as a sick/ disabled person I am glad maid does exist.

Been living by this for decades since I learned from my highschool computer science teacher that it was even possible. I’m 50 now and I have paid only twice for tv and movies in my adult life.

We have a really nice pad of scrap paper held together with a clip that stays on a magnet on the fridge with a pen. Works great. Everyone that comes in our house can read it if they choose however.
