I’m in the US, and I saw the setting. Unsurprisingly.

I see. There’s the disconnect. You offered both an anecdote and an objective statement. You called the comic inaccurate, as well as stating what happens as though it’s a universal experience. And then you offered an anecdote. The response was geared towards your first couple remarks, not the anecdote. They were snarky about it, but the sentiment is true. You were speaking for everyone, not just yourself. Your retort doesn’t make much sense because they weren’t doing the same thing.
Genuinely curious. What do you mean by this?
Now you’ve gone and made things worse.
I cannot stress enough how efficiently you ruined my ability to use the memory trick.
I don’t think you’re wrong. I do think a good movie would be more profitable than a bad one. I wouldn’t show my kid this movie out of principle, because I happen to be of a generation that cares about this franchise. I wouldn’t buy any merch, toys, or clothes either. I’m sure some would, but I feel strongly that this movie won’t generate the profits they want, and it’ll be specifically because they made something terrible.
Players aged 15 to 21 make up the largest group of Minecraft’s player base at 43%.
The remaining 21% consists of players between 22 to 30 years old, and 20.59% are users aged 61 to 80.
You might be thinking of demographics from like 10 years ago, but those kids grew up dude. Kids are not the primary demographic.
You’re allowed to say gay.
Does Lemmy not like Linux all of a sudden…?
Loud and stupid are affectionate descriptors from my friends. I also struggle with volume after being too quiet for my early years and overcompensating in the later ones.
There needs to be a conversation about how open-minded the Right is, but only when it comes to accepting people you wouldn’t trust with your children.
Agreed. Crystals, manifestation, astrology etc. is such a stupid thing for people to feel mentally superior over others for. Being a jackass and bullying people for wanting to believe in something like luck is mentally weak. Science doesn’t save a mind from its own ignorance.

God bless this pitiful country.
Find a better term than GMO to describe what makes food suck. You might as well be saying that science makes food suck. Like…yeah, sure, sometimes. But that’s incredibly vague and accomplishes nothing for you.
This was addressed to ladies. Look for the post addressed to Catholic men.
A test of long-term sustainable viability, conducted by the limitations within the forces of nature that we audaciously call our home.
Capitalism has a historical tendency of imperializing all over the place and sabotaging other systems. It did not earn its spot as “best”, despite what capitalistic propaganda would have you believe.
I would be one of you if they didn’t purge my accounts years ago. The trust will never return.
