I’m glad I am not the only one who see’s this, sadly he multi-accounts like crazy, it’s difficult to keep a sane track but I have monitored by behavioural mechanisms he exhibits, he’s known as Snowflake as a mod or something close on Reddit, he’s most probably just an alt of Luigi1111, I can’t pinpoint exactly why, it’s just my autistic heuristics of having spoke to them both and the way they respond, he has no real experience developing anything and when he tried to justify malicious code on Github, just comes out the the most idiotic excuses imaginable, such as multiple files being changed at once being a red flag for other projects such as Haveno Aloha and their code was reviewed by a third party on github and deemed safe but they seized the project anyway sadly but this kind of git behaviour is pretty common especially when refactoring code. So definitely at least keep a curious eye on these individuals (ofrnxmr and Luigi1111), especially that Luigi1111 doesn’t actually write any code but seems to have such a high position in the community, all very weird.
This is 6 months too late but I still want to respond to it as it’s still relevant today, there is often confusion between https://haveno.com/ and https://haveno.exchange/, I see this from the communities perspective, if someone had not squatted Haveno.app domain when I started working on it that would have been the domain of choice however, since our project is actually now producing both desktop and mobiles clients, it’s somewhat starting to supersede the main project, not the we don’t give them full credit for the idea of forking Bisq and making it Monero-centric, it’s great work woodser has done but we just have more senior developers working on haveno.com now, we have a legal team and also some community backing, for those who can read the source that is, others seem to just think it’s a phishing site and this is just something we will have to deal with until release I guess. I want to be clear that Haveno.com is producing a client that can connect to any haveno network, not just haveno reto (retoswap) or haveno aloha (when it existed), it’s a single trustworthy client the pools together federated liquidity and promotes the decentralisation that everyone wanted from the original Haveno client. We’re not breaking any trademarks or ethics, we invested more into the domain, we invested more into the code and the team, we invested more into the planning. I know this isn’t relevant to the original point we made but the $11k I made doesn’t even come to close to the funding the work we’ve put in so far, if we want to brandish the name haveno.com rather than Haveno Plus, we will, for those who know about the name haveno.exchange they can still with the classic project.
