  • This is 6 months too late but I still want to respond to it as it’s still relevant today, there is often confusion between https://haveno.com/ and https://haveno.exchange/, I see this from the communities perspective, if someone had not squatted Haveno.app domain when I started working on it that would have been the domain of choice however, since our project is actually now producing both desktop and mobiles clients, it’s somewhat starting to supersede the main project, not the we don’t give them full credit for the idea of forking Bisq and making it Monero-centric, it’s great work woodser has done but we just have more senior developers working on haveno.com now, we have a legal team and also some community backing, for those who can read the source that is, others seem to just think it’s a phishing site and this is just something we will have to deal with until release I guess. I want to be clear that Haveno.com is producing a client that can connect to any haveno network, not just haveno reto (retoswap) or haveno aloha (when it existed), it’s a single trustworthy client the pools together federated liquidity and promotes the decentralisation that everyone wanted from the original Haveno client. We’re not breaking any trademarks or ethics, we invested more into the domain, we invested more into the code and the team, we invested more into the planning. I know this isn’t relevant to the original point we made but the $11k I made doesn’t even come to close to the funding the work we’ve put in so far, if we want to brandish the name haveno.com rather than Haveno Plus, we will, for those who know about the name haveno.exchange they can still with the classic project.

  • I’m glad I am not the only one who see’s this, sadly he multi-accounts like crazy, it’s difficult to keep a sane track but I have monitored by behavioural mechanisms he exhibits, he’s known as Snowflake as a mod or something close on Reddit, he’s most probably just an alt of Luigi1111, I can’t pinpoint exactly why, it’s just my autistic heuristics of having spoke to them both and the way they respond, he has no real experience developing anything and when he tried to justify malicious code on Github, just comes out the the most idiotic excuses imaginable, such as multiple files being changed at once being a red flag for other projects such as Haveno Aloha and their code was reviewed by a third party on github and deemed safe but they seized the project anyway sadly but this kind of git behaviour is pretty common especially when refactoring code. So definitely at least keep a curious eye on these individuals (ofrnxmr and Luigi1111), especially that Luigi1111 doesn’t actually write any code but seems to have such a high position in the community, all very weird.

  • In defence to this, I didn’t respect the rules, that’s doesn’t mean the rules are fair, their are favoured towards the common tend of scams Luigi1111 pulls of to claim CSS and Bounty funds fraudulently even when work is completed. There is sufficenient evidence the work was though, finally completed as requested yet the milestone payout was refused, therefore, there is now a split team from core. Our team works more on the actual app being usable outside of a desktop environment, which is tremendously more useful, it’s still FOSS, it’s no loss to the community at all actually, everything that’s promised is still intended to be delivered, this will be clearer soon. However we are withholding code now just as the monero core team have withholded funds, just so that we take precendence we we release our hard work, since I’m now working with some members of the Tor project and Tail development team, who have a very good reputation, upon release you’ll firstly find it’s all open source and available to use to connect or create any network in a federated and decentralised manner, very easily. This is not possible with the classic haveno development, but we give credit to woodser for he efforts and should our project recieve any donations he will for sure be included as a 30% benefactor. Our work is being completed at https://haveno.com/ rather than https://haveno.exchange/ (which we use some of code from on desktop, not mobile), which is an important distinction, this is perhaps part of the reason the Monero core team decided not to pay our milestone, because we started to gain precedence for our work outside of the scope of the CCS and were threatened of losing market share for internal competing projects they are running such as BasicSwapDEX.com which despite being useless is somehow listed on getmonero.org as a link, weird huh? If you don’t think that’s strange especially after the fact I’ll admit the SeraiDEX, is better than what we are working on, that should for sure be listed on getmonero.org but is subject to significant scrutiny despite clearly being a better codebase than basicswapdex.com. The reason I mention this so randomly is the Luigi1111 is involved in these CCS fund laundering schemes just as he was when he stole 2000 XMR from the General Fund (the main reason fluffypony decided to petition disband core) because let’s be real, he doesn’t need to steal fund. So while yes there are speculations as to why perhaps I should not receive the remaining CSS bounty as promised, we ultimately still did and are still doing the work. So if it’s really the community that want’s this they should stick with us and not against us, either way we know the value provided by our team will be useful enough the whether you like us or hate us you’ll still prefer using out product overall, just the same way to use your fiat banks or Binance, we’re just trying to make finance a better subject for everyone, that’s really it.

Bravo another idiot idea. You know you might just motivate me to run the show entirely, I actually own 9 liquidity sites which I could aggregate here and it would already be 10x better than anything else. Cheap twats will pay one way of a other lol, I don’t get fucked, I took the job knowing if I got scammed by anyone I can just fuck em right back.

Whatever dude, doesn’t say anything in the CCS rules about being mature, I make software, I get paid, quite simple but core couldn’t pull it off so far, last chance next community meeting or else I’ll just do my own thing with it give it a little twist and make it better, will still ultimately release something but unless the community is willing to complain to the core team that I haven’t been paid it won’t be FOSS by default, it’ll just be whatever I want cause I’ll essentially be doing it for fun when bored in my spare time , there is plenty of evidence out there if you merely search. Couldn’t care less about emotionally intelligent people or not. Pay up or fuck up basically. So sick of responding to people who can’t see through a blatant scam, yeah I’m immature get fucking used to it doesn’t mean it’s cool to just start scamming cunts does it? Fuckwit.

It’s 100% the CCS fault, but mostly fueled by the mod on reddit aka ofrnxmr on Matrix (previous owner of AgoraDesk.com and LocalMonero.com). What’s happened is basically, he has managed to convince Monero core that despite having done all work as described, I shouldn’t be paid. It’s a total scam on their end, mostly due to core’s ignorance more than anything though, I don’t blame them as much as ofrnxmr.

    Thanks for the post.

In that particular case, I didn’t overestimate my ability, I can prove that by releasing the fully completely code today, however that’s obviously not in my interest now. The root cause of the issue here is pretty much impatient Reddit mods, with enough influence to assert a particular narrative. I have written about it a bit here:

    https://kewbit.org/kewbit-responds-to-creator-of-basicswapdex-com-ofrnxmr/ https://kewbit.org/addressing-the-false-proclamation-of-exit-scamming-allegations-by-basicswapdex/

You’re right in that it’s a complex system to navigate now, unfortunately this has tainted my reputation whether I have dont anything wrong or not. In terms of deadlines nothing was missed, accept from the deadlines (if there were any) of them to simple pay each milestone. I’ve completely Milestone 1, they paid after hours of arguing. I completely milestone 2, still nothing. Waiting on ‘professional review from expert’, this is apparently now being reviewed by a developer called Loius (who acts very much like ofrnxmr btc) who thought a serialized protobuf was obfuscated malicious code.

I just pay some people with sense will review the code.

  • I appreciate you not jumping straight on the bandwagon with others :)

I surely hope it will be resolved too as I have about 200 XMR on the line thanks to 1 persons incessancy. I would say, do not make the conclusion until the software is delivered and working. Then all truth will be clear and hopefully the community will punish the real perpetrators.

I can make impulsive responses that don’t work in my favour for sure, and that’s mostly from anger and frustration with negative people, it’s a weakness I know recognise and control very well. I can assure you on the life of my kids, that all my intentions are good, always have been, those I must say that the purchase of haveno.com was slightly strategic incase of non-payment, because you never know on the internet, it’s a he said she said situation most of the time and no real guarantees, I guess my point is I can expose people with a recognised platform if I do in fact not get paid and then the good members of the community would recognise what individuals to avoid and hopefully make some positive change. It actually wasn’t ideal for me to buy haveno.com because it was expensive, but someone has strategically registered haveno.app so it was unavailable and wanted to use that. Retrospectively, it’s probably better that I got the .com now that it’s evident there are (potentially) systemic issues in certain areas.
