You’ve got it backwards, median takes into account income gap better. Mean would be much higher today because of the increasing income gap. That is why I used the median, so that interesting inequality would be less of a factor.

In 2023 median hourly wage was $19.24/h, vs in 1979 it was $4.44/h or $19.56/h inflation adjusted. (This data doesn’t go back to 1965 unfortunately)

Federal minimum wage in 1965 was $1.25/h, which is $12.69/h today. Looks like Alaska had the highest state minimum at $2.10, $21.32 today. Or were you taking more average rather than minimum wage?
The aversion often didn’t work for royalty, since they weren’t raised with their siblings.

What do you mean? Graphite can be fine or sharp, you saying it’s fine to breathe in? I know I wouldn’t want to breath in a broken tip of a pencil.
Plus, inhaling graphite dust since it doesn’t fall doesn’t sound fun.
It’s almost impressive just how much trump is bending over backwards to appease Putin. They’re exercising all their leverage against Ukraine to get them to a ceasefire, but seemingly not willing to use any leverage against Russia.

4·2 months agoSounds good, but I hope there’s robust protections in place against it becoming for profit if it grows big enough. If we overtake Reddit eventually, there’s some potential profit that will need to be turned down.

Hank Green has a good video on the subject. This is like grafting genes into chimpanzees to make them stand upright and be hairless, and calling them human. There’s some cool technology going on here, but it isn’t anywhere near a full clone.
They’re still largely grey wolves DNA, with a few aesthetic genes of direwolf grafted in.
