Nothing but to agree. But we are way past the point of facts. This fallacy implies just projection of your own competency onto morons who just dont care. Your enemy doesnt care.

Hond@piefed.socialOPto Music@beehaw.org•Calyx - Follow The Leader [Genre: DNB] of Midnight Club 3 fameEnglish2·20 天前I’m slightly drunk and i have the need to express myself via racing game soundtracks. If you want i’ll take you on a ride through my ongoing playlist and suggestions regarding that genre.
With that said we start with my(!) OG MSX FM in GTA III which also includes Tracks from Calyx:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI3tV6EhUjU
But with that we get introduced to Moving Shadow who has bangers in the late 90’s and early 00’s like:
99.1 CD1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI3tV6EhUjU
99.1 CD2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NV7kBJPxds
or 01.1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwzYXZhuPJs which basically is MSX FM without MC(it gets pretty hardcore with playtime)
Lots more to check out if you like the style. But lets move on:
NFS Undercover was the first badly received Need for Speed game but i’d consider the Soundtrack one of the best:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wj3QZq_NECc&list=PLfEZ2UIciT73tCl9KzvmFPG89vQ2DXmY8 As a warning its not DNB. But it has some really nice EDM between the rock bangers and it just flows. I’m not big on driving cars in RL. But it has that perfect Jamiroquai music video quality to it? Anyway back to DNB and Moving Shadow: With 99.1 CD2 we got introduced to E-Z Rollers. How about some more?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXGmWhkt590&list=OLAK5uy_lQP0zweupIdyQCjpfHiJrhAmT9tJeAypY&index=1
Less Breakbeats but more BoomBoom? Have you heard of the upcoming Genre of Rally House? Which is based on the tracks you’d find on late 90’s PSX rally games like Colin Mcrae Rally?
https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Rally+house
With that said i’d like to introduce my favourite PSX youtuber who mixes some rad PSX based mixtapes which are naturally really DNB heavy:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sveE999ic8&list=PL5wBEnvqci20OJ-ll-exRnLUwc7jUw0gtI think thats too big of dump already. Maybe i come back. I hope somebody in this whole wide world draws some insperation from it. IDK tbh.
Have a great one. The only thing i know i’m pleased with myself because i shared my passion in some capacity.
Greetings
Edit: Oh yeah: Huge fan of the NFS 2 - NFS 5 (Porsche Unleashed) Soundtracks. Ironically and unironically total oldschool bangers.
Hond@piefed.socialto Android@lemdro.id•Murena's HIROH Phone is a premium smartphone that runs de-Googled Android & has privacy kill switchesEnglish7·20 天前Theres a difference between ‘premium’ and ‘flagship’. The price alone is enough to call it premium (with some asterisks). But its just not flagship hardware. The SOC is more than enough for my needs. But performancewise its somewhere near a 3,5 year old flagship Snapdragon and is itself 2 years old. Also if you give a fuck about these specs because of gaming/emulation or misusing(loaded statement i know)it as a desktop substitute Mediatek SOCs still lag behind in support/compatibility to Qualcomm.
But then there are some unpremium telltales like that third backside macro camera with undisclosed megapixels. That instantly tells me that it probably sports a 2mp unuseable tiny sensor. Its only there to trick the consumer in believing that its more premium then it is. Its not an useful tele like on a Iphone Pro but the design suggest it.
They also dont specify what kind of USB connection they provide. So its most likely USB 2.0 with no displayout. Other things on their official spec sheet:
_Primary camera aperture | 2 Megapixel _ its just typo tbf but still, lmao.
Headphones jack | TYPE-C DAC digital headphone Just ‘no’ would be more honest but i just wouldnt mention it at all and everybody who cares gets it.I’m all in with MudMans assertion that they should just own it instead of tiptoeing around the truth. As he said its a solid device with enough unique selling points. But sadly it feels(!) like they try to deceive me here and there with their messaging. Which is soooo unnecessary.
Edit: It kinda suggests to me(!) that it probably is a badge engineered phone of a chinese company which provides semi customizeable barebone devices. Just a guess by me(!). But that would be unpremium as fuck. And dont get at me how stupid that whole pReMiuM talk is. I’m fully aware of that. But thats the bullshit you need to deal with if you start using these terms. I didnt start it.
A lot to love about the phone tbh. 3,5mm jack, front facing stereo speakers, 120hz, alright cameras, 168g, smallish formfactor, sd card support. But 450€ for an entrylevel chipset with 8/128 and only acceptable support timeline is just rough. I’m aware that inflation is a thing, chip manufacturing got more expensive, us tariffs somehow affect the rest of the world and longer software support needs to be paid somehow. But that shitty chipset will perform worse than my phone i got 4 years ago for like 320€. Meh.
I killed several really well going conversations in the past by mentioning that one of my hobbies is to play racing games with my plastic toywheel.
Like dont get wrong i’m fully aware that its not a sexy hobby. But if thats enough to tank an otherwise well going conversation for you then i’m not interested either way.
Hond@piefed.socialto Games@sh.itjust.works•Star Wars Outlaws Switch 2 - A Ray Tracing Revelation & An Extraordinary Port | Digital FoundryEnglish8·1 个月前Thats the thing with Ubisoft. They dont make offensively bad games. They’re mostly just bland. What sells them (for me) are pretty unique settings and cool broader concepts. Thats probably that french je ne sais quoi which pulls in (my) attention. But everything else just falls apart if you’re a bit more into games. You know, i dont want to use the ‘G’ word. I dont want to make the case for the distinction between casuals and hArDcoRe - there it is - gAmeRS.
But Ubisoft games just still feel soooo formulaic. Even when they kinda try to remedy that fact. Yeah, they try to clutter the map with less interest points. Yeah, they stopped making you climb towers to populate said maps with interest points. But it still feels like made by committee. That corporate smoothing stone is just there. I’ve seen and resent this shit too many times because i buy more games than just the most current yearly COD/FIFA/AssCreed iteration.Atleast gameplaywise i could handle it. But my biggest gripe personally is just the utterly shit writing in Ubisoft games. Its just soooo bad IMHO. They cant tell a compelling story. It always feels like an afterthought to the gameplay which already isnt landing for me.
Like yeah, SW Outlaws is an above average and alright AAA title. But i just cant anymore after 15 years of the same shit with the same patterns. At some point it had to break the camels back.

Hond@piefed.socialto Linux@programming.dev•The Quiet Revolution: GNU/Linux Crosses 6% Desktop Market Share—And It’s Just the BeginningEnglish11·1 个月前I was dualbooting of two seperate nvme drives for each os. Worked pretty well for almost a year until i distro hopped. But for some reason my windows boot partition was located on my linux drive which i purged entirely while installing the new OS. Because why would be there any windows component on my linux drive, right?
Recreating the windows boot partition on the correct drive was more complicated than anything i ever encountered on linux so far. Took like 5 hours and funnily enough was only doable via a terminal.
Also there isnt a reason left for me to put up with microsofts bullshit. A few weeks ago i got a racing game with VR and wheel support running in an afternoon. The title is even abandonware so i had to grab some repack with a windows only installer.
the illusion of privacy. wat.
there wasnt an illusion of privacy 20 fucking years ago.
i’ve read articles printed on physical paper how three letter agencies provided funding to then upcoming social media sites.
i remember how fucking upset i was that everybody was just downloading shitty facebook apps while giving them full access to their contacts when smartphones took off. it didnt took a genius to connect the dots. they built a pretty accurate shadow profile of me by just tracking who had my fucking number. Even if i never had touched facebook products with a ten foot pole.
this makes me legit so fucking angry. complete brainrot. like i’m happy there are still articles beeing made which hint at the privacy nightmare we live in. but as a society we should be so much further. these are known issues for fucking decades now.
