It’s a numbers game. If you invest in 500 AI startups, but one of them becomes the next Saudi Aramco, Microsoft, or Meta, it will easily cover all the losses.
Who reads this anyway? Nobody, that’s…. Oh wait. Some people actually do. I guess I should put something worth reading in here then. Err… Let’s go with lorem impsum for the time being.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nam eu libero vitae augue pretium sollicitudin…

The AI startup gets money, and the new CEO gets to drive a Ferrari. That’s all that counts. Fulfilling the requests or needs of your clients is just an optional side quest.

Because money. As long as you have those two magic letters in your pitch deck, investors will just pour absurd amounts of money into your project.

Get an external hard drive case and pop an old disk in it. Install Rockstor on the pi, configure it and you have a NAS for backups or whatnot. I’ve heard it’s also possible to upgrade it to a personal cloud storage, but I haven’t gone quite that far.
“More money than taste”
Some people have millions to spend on decoration, but they don’t really know how to make it look good. They may have seen a few pictures of a fantasy palace in a movie, but that’s about it.
I would have hired an interior designer and an artist to design the place according to some of my broad guidelines. I may have a general idea of what I like, but I would leave the details to professionals who know what they are doing.

That’s a good point! Didn’t think of that one.

Privacy is valuable, but its violation is free. If you want plenty of free cloud storage, you’ll get zero privacy. Some companies offer a free demo so you can test the product before purchasing. The storage space is just big enough for testing, not for storing your entire video collection.
If you’re short on cash, consider building a home NAS out of second hand hardware.

If you’ve already done a bit of programming, you can think of the terminal as a place that executes code. Just look at some bash scripts, and you’ll probably find it somewhat familiar.
Just like you can load new libraries, you can also install new commands on your system. You can think of each program as a function in some programming language such as Python.

Industrial chemicals, huh? If there ever was a red flag for inciting fear, this is the one. A promising start with that headline.
On the other hand, I have no doubt that there are various compounds that inhibit microbial growth in the gut. Some of them are used in various industries, and some of them can be found in nature. Think of antibiotics, for example. Regardless, the article does raise some good points about regulation and the use of pesticides and other chemicals.
Not really a problem, since my phone is usually silent. I miss mystery calls all the time. It’s their fault for not texting me first.

Looks like it won’t rain on Saturday. It’s been raining pretty much every day for the past 2 weeks, so not raining is kinda nice. Might even see the sun.

If it’s learning based on screenshots, it can only learn to play really slow games. FPS games would require video.

I had a W10 phone at work. The OS and UI were nice, had no issues there. The app selection was a serious bottle neck though. Finding a good flashlight or a calculator was not a trivial task. Anything more complicated than that just simply didn’t exist.
Exactly. If we keep this order, the dog should have responded with: “look who’s taking“.
I suggest we switch to Planck based units. Just slap on a suitable multiplier to make the final unit practical in normal life and engineering. Basically like the mol unit but with a more precise and natural foundation.
If the fundamental constants of the universe aren’t exactly constant, we’re screwed and there are no good units.
Yep. This stuff is surprisingly complicated, and that’s why we need to measure the day using a standardized unit instead of defining the unit with the day.
Incidentally, Wikipedia has a nice graph about the variation of the length of day. It’s surprisingly messy and pretty far from the ideals of antiquity.

I can see where this is going. Next, ad blocking will be made even harder than it already is.
Best of all, none of those natural reference values are constant. They drift gradually, and lunar months won’t be 30 days forever just like a day won’t be 24 hours in the future.

It’s a risky investment.
