Back in my day we knit those bits into place. That’s where the really cool projects are.
I do a lot of photography and I share it on my deviant art page.

NGL dying due to climate is definitely preferable to dying due to fascist hunting people like me
With the fascist in power they’re going to speed up the climate destruction
So maybe the fascist will kill us with the climate
yay?
Having your own data can be incredibly useful and valuable, the trick is protecting that data so that nefarious actors can’t use it.
This exactly
Especially considering trump’s opinion on them and Israel’s stance on the election (wanting a trump victory) those should have been major red flags about a trump victory if you cared about Palestinians.
Voting the lesser evil is often how politics works. You pick the candidate you yu hate the least and try to mobilize more people in the future to get the policies you want.
Trump has been strong on his opinions on both Ukraine and Palestine, and his opinions were fucking terrible.
Those that didn’t vote against that are a problem.
Having your bare feet in the grass feels so goddamn good and I’m tired of pretending that it doesn’t feel great
It’s not the size that counts, it’s how you use it.
10 years and counting
There’s so much bullshit in new cars that’s it’s infuriating, especially considering the cars call home with all kinds of privacy violating bullshit.
My Mini Factory is primarily where I get mine (if you want a list of users I primarily buy mine)
Cults3D is another place but they’re a lot more hit and miss on quality IMO
The best models are purchased models (in general) though MZ4250 on Printables models are free and also pretty high quality.
Personally I won’t pirate models of people in the 3D printing mini community as I want to support the creators in that space as they’re not giant megacorps.
Here’s a link to that speedy bois wikipage for those curious.
One thing I would recommend though is if you have some hobbies try to find beginner friendly communities for those hobbies as they are usually super positive and helpful, and they’ll give you the chance to be that as well.
Personally I found helping people dive into the stuff I’m interested in was a massive boost to my mental health.
There’s just something wonderful about it that I really can’t explain.
They mostly turn into crabs in a bucket communities because the ones that stick around long term in those communities are usually the doomer types.
Or at least that was my experience with it years ago.
My best advice is to avoid those communities as I found they only made my mental health worse rather than better.
And at this point I don’t trust Microsoft to not stuff them in there as a “last update for Windows 10”
Ah that makes more sense
They probably horde that data like a Dragon hordes gold
Only 6 months? Honestly I’m surprised it’s so short of time frame.
I have no idea what kind of critter that is but damn is it cool looking
This is the one that breaks my brain
I’d say that consuming content that only confirms your biases is a form of failing media literacy as you’re failing to see the biases inherent to the content you’re consuming. There’s the flaw of “I think it’s this way” seeking out that content and not seeing that it’s poorly sourced (if at all) and eating it up.
Not to mention the role that content suggestion algorithms play in reinforcing that behavior and providing you with even more content along the lines of the biases you’re reinforcing.
It’s a complicated can of worms for sure.
You really can’t be both at the same time.
After this election I’ve had to cut a bunch of people out of my life, even relatives. A lot of them saying such wonderful things as “trump’s just saying things, he doesn’t actually mean anything he’s saying.” And then they’d get defensive when I’d ask them why they votes for him then if he doesn’t mean anything he says.
It’s really hard to cut people out of your life but afterwards it’s amazing realizing that you don’t need to tip toe around things that may be vaguely political (or explicitly) anymore to not start an argument.
