This isn’t true. Many higher trim F150s (bigger cab, 4wd, luxury interior) weigh over 6000lbs. Only the smallest, cheapest ones used for work vehicles are on the 4000lb range. Not defending the Cybertruck, but repeating false info doesn’t help.

I can’t even convince my “liberal” friends and family to buy an electric car (That I know they can afford), because they are afraid of the slight inconvenience of charging. He is right, the West is unwilling to accept a lower standard of living to address oil usage.

Asking users to Opt out as a method to replace an Opt in TOS is a trick because they are hoping users won’t see it. If they sent an email asking users to click a link to Opt in to the new TOS, that would be OK.
I hate it when people act dumb like this. You know why it’s an issue because of the opt out instead of the normal opt in.
If the tech caused the crash, then absolutely yes
Working well for me too! Hope we can keep this even if there are still a few bugs.
This is how I’ve been thinking Lemmy can scale. Sync can host their own instance funded by premium subscribers. In other cases, a group of friends with common local interests can host an instance with their local channels plus caching posts on other instances, and peoppe could connect to that or lemmy.world for free and see the same content.
Some of the trims listed here are 5800 lbs: https://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/2023/models/f150-limited/
