With a caveat that you should speak German otherwise you’re locked out of over 60% of positions. At least that has been my experience.

I actually use WA a lot. Most of my family doesn’t live in the same country I do and I have quite a few friends in different countries. Texting is not an option for us.
But Instagram, as far as I know, is just a platform to post pictures. I don’t care about my own pictures or pictures of others.
I had someone stop talking to me because I don’t have an Instagram. Kind of weird if you ask me.
I am a man and I absolutely have given other men compliments. Specifically their shirts if they’re a band I like and I’ve received those too. I am very happy when someone compliments my attire or hair.
I think we should normalize giving each other compliments regardless of gender, as another user said. Of course it shouldn’t be like an exaggerated amount but it would be nice to prop each other up and boost all our confidences. I think that we could tell each other nice things more often. We could certainly be kinder to one another.
I’ve seen people I wouldn’t consider attractive with partners. Both genders. There might be truth to “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
I would say just learn to talk to people. It’s practically the biggest thing. Looks only get you certain people but charisma can get you the right person.
This feels like I’m playing No Man’s Sky. Just a bunch of symbols I don’t recognize and then the word “school” in the middle without context hahaha.
In all seriousness, good for you. That’s very impressive. I’m only bilingual with a basic understanding of a third language.
Working out. Either biking, walking, lifting weights, doing martial arts, etc. It doesn’t matter. In some of my lowest points if my life I started working out and it helped. It didn’t fix it but it really helped my mood improve. It also raises your self-esteem. I did a couple of years of BJJ and it really made me feel better about myself. Now I go to the gym and lift weights. Looking better and seeing the weights I can lift become heavier do a lot of me.
Music. Pick up a guitar. Thomann sells really cheap guitars that are great for beginners. Learn some songs you love and play along with them. Just look up tabs online and go from there. Eventually, you’ll realize that you can use the instrument as a constructive channel to your emotions.
Both (or even most) suggestions you’re going to hear about this topic take discipline. There is a reason for that. These things are rewarding proportional to the effort you put in. Seeing yourself improve at whatever you choose ultimately will only happen when you make the time and put in the effort. Do not be discouraged. The first few weeks are always hard but you can build good habits in a short time.
This is great information, thanks for sharing. Could you elaborate on “questionable practices”? I’m aware of locking certain games out of steam for some time (borderlands 3 for example). Is there more I didn’t know about?
Real question: how? What does epic games do? Is it privacy stuff? I’m out of the loop. I just get free games and gave a disposable email.
They likely can. They’re paid not to frame it that way though.
