I don’t think you understand what racism is. racism is when a group that is historically disadvantaged is prejudiced against. like black people, for example, who have had an entire power structure against them both historically and presently in this country. you cannot be racist against white people because there isn’t a power dynamic there. you can be prejudiced against white people, but racism implies an uneven power structure.

the thing is, I think they can afford for him to be acquitted on the murder charges. the way the evidence was presented, he had a ghost gun and an illegal suppressor as well. whether they were planted or not is still up for debate, but that’s a slam dunk case that they can just give the maximum sentence for and move on. I don’t think the murder charges actually matter. I imagine if they can’t get him on murder we’ll quickly find out he was manufacturing drugs or some of bs charge they can give hime another 20 year sentence for and if the judge rules they can’t be served concurrently then bam, still a life sentence

depends on the person. my neighbors, who never walk their dog, barely feed it, and just let it out in the back yard for 3 hours a day (hoarders backyard in the city where all it can do is stand in the 2x2 corner where it uses the bathroom and bark, asking them to play with it) do not deserve a dog. for any responsible owner though, I agree

that’s not how our justice system tends to work unfortunately. if the shooter is caught, they will end up in prison, no doubt about it.

plus, from a purely socialogical standpoint, having a nameless person with an unknown story allows people to put whatever story they want on them, which makes them a way more compelling figure cause they can appeal to pretty much everyone

eh, a CEOs family has made their peace with the blood money. like most of us would never even consider marrying someone who is blatantly responsible for thousands of not millions if deaths. so I cant feel sympathy for a partner. I could feel sympathy for young kids, but the guy was 50, so it’s fair to assume any kids are at least 18, at which age you either cut contact with a parasite like that or become similar. I guess I just have a hard time feeling sympathy for people who are set for life off of the suffering of others and have never spoken up, attempted to change anything, or just left
