Thanks, this was quite informative as to what the state of things are on the Windows side.
That said, I highly dislike the idea of undermining Valve’s efforts to get PC gaming less dependent on Windows so certainly will not be using any of this.

@Los Grabbed CC3, SMAC, X-COM: Apocalypse and Incoming. I tend to like Gog for the retro games still. Going to wait for Steam sale for more. Steam deck has definitely caused me to prefer steam a little bit more even though I do play games from other stores with Lutris/Heroic on it.
@mike That is interesting, I was curious about whether it is possible to post to lemmy from mastodon… Seems like part of your message ended up becoming the title so I wonder if there is a way to format the message in a way that won’t look out of place on lemmy
@nivenkos Yeah that is correct I believe, still no actual release of it besides system images for Steam Deck.
Haha, well maybe a bit heretical considering this declares itself to be the successor to steamdeck_linux and not even just steamdeck. Guess I wouldn’t worry about it too much though.
