Is there some secret to this? Either I’m trying to cautiously untangle the plant without breaking any leaves so I can water it in the sink or I’m leaking water all of the floor.

I put a water bottle with a hole in the cap facing down and adjust the drippage. Like this: https://sagesacre.com/2021/02/12/garden-hack-diy-water-bottle-drip-watering-system/#
You can just flip the whole bottle without the cap and stick it into the soil if the vase is big or the bottle is small enough
This works very well in my experience, but I feel like it defies the aesthetic purpose of the macrame.
Idk if it’s just me but the image won’t load for some reason. Are you basically watering it gradually enough that it never drains out the bottom of the pot?
Sorry, I just edited the message so you can check it better.
TL;DR: Yes. It’s just a drip system that doesn’t flood the vase.
Thank you :)
