Hello! I’m actually using a Huawei P30. I love this device because had an amazing camera and spectacular chip. Because I had this good experience with Huawei I’m considering upgrade to a more new Huawei device but I know they don’t have Google services anymore so I’m curious if people who has no Google services can live with this, using alternatives or seeking a way to have it

Check out something called Aurora store which lets you install app store games without the app store.

Just remember to not use your main account if you need to use one, since Aurora store breaks the ToS and they’ve actually banned some people.

I’m using LOS rom without gapp and it works fine for me, but there are problems like bank app not working properly and some apps need google services. For apps that don’t work, there are many alternatives out there.

If I’m not mistaken huawei has an app called gspace, it can run google apps as usual, so there seems to be no problem if you upgrade your phone.

Well MicroG works fine for me. Depends on how much you rely on Gservices though, many features are missing, like Play Games for example.

I use graphineOS and even then my work profile is fully Googled, the reason for this is so many things in proptairy apps depend on Google Play, most notable being notifications.

Might be helpful if you have more than one phone so if the learning curve ends up screwing you up you still have some kind of functional phone to use in the interim

It can be done, there are some challenges of course and some improvements and some downsides.

It’s worth trying if you’re interested.
