Hey there, back again with another pre-release version of Thunder for v0.2.1+9! This will probably be the final list of new features that are going to be added in the upcoming release, so it will just be bug fixing major things that pop up here and there.
Note: There is currently a login issue with lemmy.world due to the upgrade to 0.18.1. This is not something on Thunder’s end
Be fully prepared to know that these pre-release versions may contain major bugs which could cause Thunder to crash or behave unexpectedly.
Without further ado, these are the changes from last time:
- Added ability to edit your own comments, the action simple replaces the reply swipe action when on your own comment
- Fixed an issue where performing vote/save actions on comments would do it to the first comment in the thread (the parent one)
- Fixed issue where subscribing from the search page would cause an error to pop up
- Fixed issue where setting a default sort option would cause infinite loading to happen
For things to test out, I would suggest just testing out general things like voting, saving, replying, and creating posts, as well as testing out the following things (these are issues which are marked as “fixed” in the issues tab)

Hello, Just to make sure, can we use this build with lemmy.world if still logged in in the previous build?
I just tried again, and I think lemmy.world has fixed their login issue!

I think that should be the case - as long as you don’t completely reinstall it for now, it should continue to work on your account
I would still be careful with it though, there’s apparently a way to get back access to your account if you do a password reset
Talkback reads the following:

That word “save” should not appear at the end like that. Should i report this on Github too? I submitted it to the first prerelease post too

Could you let me know what view you’re in? The default view or the compact view? It would also help if you could provide a screenshot

Edit: nevermind, I think I found the issue
Just updated and will keep an eye out for bugs. I also have a QoL thing that I would like to suggest, some apps I am able to change accounts quickly from a drop down in the hamburger menus. This allows to stay on the posts tab and it just loads posts for the current account. I switch between multiple accounts frequently throughout the day and having to go to a user tab is a bit cumbersome. The way that the user select is now is great, if the selector was on the posts screen. (If that makes sense) Also, listing the current logged in account in the hamburger menu or on the posts screen itself would be nice. Just a suggestion. Love the app!

Image only works if its a link atm - I do want to prioritize more ways of posting in the next version
Good to hear. I don’t know if it is a bug or not implemented yet but when clicking on a reply on a comment in the inbox, it takes you to the top of the thread instead of the parent comment. Would you rather be post these in the GitHub or here in this community?
The scroll-to-comment feature hasnt been implemented yet! You can definitely create a new issue on GitHub for it so that it’s easier for me to track :D
