Everybody knows about the decline in birthrates. Fewer people understand why—or just how significantly it could transform society in the next few decades.

    Fertility rates can’t be above replacement level.

    Common sense dictates that exponential growth in a finite world cannot sustain.

    Still we need a slower decline to protect future generations from collapsing systems.
