    Sorry it was the BMD 12k Ursa. Essentially they purchased a bunch of 12k cameras from BMD with the promise that the proprietary codec would be ported to Adobe. BMD being BMD never delivered, and never really provided the support LMG expected. Their response was always just go ahead and use Divinci Resolve which was a no go since LMG depends on the integration between adobe tools.

    I see it all the time, someone sees some blackmagic device that costs 1/2 or 1/4 the price of actual professional gear, and then they are shocked when they cant get post warranty support, updates, bug fixes, spare parts, or even someone on the phone.

    The joke is always, how do you make Blackmagic last 10 years? You buy 10.

      I love that last line. Not so much the rest of it. I’m pretty sure I heard him talking about this before, too. I was also shocked when I saw that he was basically partnering with them. They probably gave it to him for free or something. He loves free stuff in exchange for a video.
