Hi friends. I’m looking to replace as many Google services as I can from my life and I am currently looking for a Google Keep alternative.
I want something extremely basic, like Google Keep, that just allows me to collaboratively create to-do lists. Me and my SO have a bunch of to-do lists such as shopping, house chores or work related tasks. I want to be able to share lists with her.
I’ve tried a bunch of apps suggested by some friends but honestly they’re more geared to creating documents or elaborate notes. That’s not what I want. I just want to create to-do lists and an interface that allows me to do that as simply as possible.
Thanks!
I use Todoist. Beside the website there are apps for nearly every device and new tasks are simple to add with their natural language support.
Second this one
Yeah this is the only todo list app that’s worked for me
https://github.com/tasks/tasks
Open source Available on F Droid. Supports sync through various services.
May be what you looking for or not. :)
Tasks a great choice, and you can trace its lineage back to the earliest days of Android. (It’s a fork of Astrid, though it’s been developed quite a bit since then.)
I use joplin. A FOSS checklist and note taking app with cloud sync.
I use Microsoft ToDo, sharing would be an option (requires an MS account for both)
Anytype - An open-source Notion alternative. E2EE, cloud and local network sync, can be self-hosted.
Todoist works great and can sync with computer.
Codo (cooperative todo list) is What we use for the family as you can invite people to share and check off lists together (chores, groceries, projects, etc.)
jtxBoard, open source, syncs over caldav (works great with Zanshin) and has very active developer.
Additional it supports Material You and has included notes and journal support. Oh, did I mention it’s free?
Ourgroceries is just a shopping list app, but judging from what you want it might work for you.
I’ve used OurGroceries for a long time and I also think it would do the job.
I’ve used OurGroceries for many years now, as a shopping list and as a todo list. My issue is that they recently changed to requiring GP Services in order to reduce piracy, and I’ve had to put it in a sandboxed profile on Graphene in order to get it to work while I look for an alternative.
It’s too bad, I’ve always liked it for use as a shared list app.
I haven’t tried to use it collaboratively, but TickTick is excellent. Ever in need of something that helps me stay organized, I actually pay yearly for the premium subscription even. Really nice interface, and gives you multiple ways to manage your tasks, just depending on what works better in a given situation or for a given individual.
Quillnote is a cool, simple, FOSS notes/to-do list app similar in functionality to Keep.
Only problem is that syncing is currently an experimental feature and currently only supports Nextcloud. You can create backups though.
Quillnote is my pick, I just wish they let you indent list items- I’m used to using Keep to organize all the junk in my brain, and indentations were super helpful for that
Quillpad should be preferred, it’s a fork that is actively being maintained, whereas Quillnote hasn’t gotten an update in over a year.
TickTick sounds like a good option for what you want. It’s a very simple tasks list app but allows you to share those tasks with other users.
Trello
if you like google keep n…
then another notes is a foss app with similar ui
Why not just keep on using Keep? I’ve used a ton of different ones and a I keep on going back to it. It’s simple and just works. Obsidian is also really nice if you need a full notebook.
goblin.tools it doesnt have an app but you can create a shortcut on your homepage. it can break down tasks to the most simple or keep it general
Notally works for me
