Most web browsers have an option to make a website into a pseudo app, and I’ve been using that.

Jerboa has potential and I’m excited to see it mature, but honestly the web app is a better experience atm.

There isnt any choices besides Jerboa or the web app. Lemmur to my understanding is abandoned

Jerboa’s v.0.0.34 alpha version from their GitHub is better than the Play Store release. It’s still alpha, of course, so caveat emptor, but it’s been pretty stable for me so far. Some features are still missing. Browsing, searching, and joining other communities and instances is still either impossible or very limited on Jerboa. For that, you’d need to do it on the website.

Speaking of using the website, another option is to just install the mobile version of the site as a PWA (just go to Menu > Add to Phone/Home Screen in your mobile browser), or use an app like Hermit to create a standalone version of the mobile site.

Other than those, there are no other native apps for Android that I know of. There was lemmur, but it’s no longer being maintained so I can’t recommend it.

Edit: Oh, I just remembered that some of the Reddit 3PA devs were considering porting to lemmy, kbin, or other Fediverse stuff. Would be amazing if it happens.

I hope some of the reddit apps migrate to lemmy. I used Infinite, so it would be my preference to see come over.
