The prime minister is apparently pursuing ways to land the 2028 Open for the president. With friends like that, POTUS surely won’t be carrying his own clubs, says Guardian columnist Marina Hyde

He’s already Netanyahu’s fluffer, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind helping put Trump.

The sight of the Trump cabinet pandering to the Orange Turd is utterly embarrassing, but when it’s your own PM doing this it’s on a different level.

      Another way to consider it.

If the US is not willing or able to force their president to follow their own rules.

What duty dose the UK have.

Him running his own company while president has been against US rules from early on. Him using his political influence to push his own interests is unconstitutional.

Our PM allowing him to. In an attempt to help our own nation build ties. Breaks no UK rules.

We are not responsible for protecting us democracy from itself.

Maybe tonguing the taint will be enough?

General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in [email protected] or [email protected]
More serious politics should go in [email protected].

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
