Its proprietary freemium shitware that misses basic features unless you create an online account and pay. Looks like its already increasingly being enshittified if you look at recent reviews. Im not entirely opposed to paying for stuff like this but if its not open source and completely online dependent, then they can change the terms, price and quality at any time. Fuck off all the way with that.

The actual traffic data cant be open sourced either, because that would give random people access to the location of users. There is nothing preventing them from selling this data to anyone and it should be assumed that they do. They might just be using google data for this anyway tho

Sorry but this is just bs. The only important feature that’s behind a paywall is downloading offline maps for more than one country at the same time.

And services like this have to pay for the development and upkeep costs in some way, since they’re not selling your data like Google does. There’s nothing wrong with having a paid tier.

They totally are selling your data. Seznam is a targeted advertising company just like Google.

Ah yes offline maps, totally not a core functionality for a map app. Its also not a one and done thing its a fuckin subscription. Even for the free features you need an account. WTF?

they can change the terms, price and quality at any time

Also this is reason enough anyways. Dont cuck yourself involuntarily by using and depending on software like this.
