6.2" as a compact phone, huh. My 5.8" feels like a pocket TV

You might want to look at Ulefone for actual compact phones. I’m waiting for the Flir ones to come down in price some, they’re a little too new for that yet. But if you’re less of a cheap bastard than me, they look pretty good.

        Thicc!

Look like it has everything that matters, sd card, 3.5mm jack, a good battery, and a recent OS version.

Yah, but when you look a phone with a good case, it’s probably not much thicker. And they’ve put a monster battery in them, which is a large part of the thickness.

I can fit thick in my shirt pocket, I can’t fit long. And putting a phone in my pants pocket is a good way to break it IME.

Yeah, it’s still much better than the long one I have now. Have you seen Unihertz brand btw? They have some small but thick ones too.

I’d like the newer android and the tough case. The cheaper ones seem flimsy and older android. I have been keeping my eye on Unihertz though.

Nowadays, any smartphone below 155mm can probably be considered compact.

      • under 150mm: small
      • 150mm - 155mm: compact
      • 155 - 160mm: average
      • above 160mm: large

There are 12 Android phones released between 2023 and today under 150mm: https://m.gsmarena.com/search.php3?nYearMin=2023&nHeightMax=150&sFormFactors=1&idOS=2

Yeah I’m aware that times have changed, which doesn’t mean I don’t remember how it was to have a phone which comfortably fits in a pocket with other stuff. Like HTC Desire or Galaxy S2.

Only 4 of which have kind of a modern processor/screen.
