As a Romanian: please don’t do it. Our justice system is rotten to the core. They’ll find a way to prolong the trial long enough to avoid detention and the accusations to be prescribed. It happened before with high level corruption cases, and I’m pretty afraid it will happen again. My only hope is that we will extradite them to the UK, and they’ll handle the case properly.
Just to get an idea of how bad things are: prosecutors did not bother the brothers and their network initially until someone reported the whole thing to the US embassy in Bucharest.
