Got it for free in a - i presume - rather rock-bottom state and now it is finally in bloom again! So happy rn
It’s so beautiful. Good job! I tried but just lost mine. Another one bites the dust 😞
I’ve never been able to get orchids to successfully rebloom. What did you do?
watered them every other week, fertilized (lightly!) maybe once a year and exercised patience - no tricks.
A big thing people skip (sorry OP, seems you did too) is using a transparent flower pot. The reason being that the roots also need light. I’ve had an orchid exactly like OP’s going on 5 years, and it sprouts flowers twice per year. In fact, it is beginning a new flowing cycle now.
Humidity helps too. Also lower temperatures at night can trigger blooming. Mine always bloomed in January/February.
I no longer have these, but they were in a large aquarium to keep up the humidity.
It’s beautiful, what is it?
Phalanopsis?
It looks like an orchid. I don’t know the variety . Very beautiful but temperamental plants.
yes, it’s an orchid. no idea what kind/variety
standard issue orchid
That’s fantastic, something to be really proud of. It’s so beautiful, made my day.
