The drop obvisouly happened on the release date ?
I did play it, before the official release, and it was fun, chill experience, no BP, like old times.

What happened since ? 🤔

La baisse est évidemment arrivée à la date de sortie ? J’y ai joué, avant la sortie officielle, et c’était une expérience amusante et décontractée, sans BP, comme “avant”.

Qu’est-ce qui s’est passé depuis ? 🤔

For me, there is a problem with games being “live service”, U have to just launch your game and enjoy it, like u said. Remember Bf2, bf2142, CSS, etc. No MMR, just a “server browser” and then you join a party.

I regret “old time” where BP and others craps wasnt a thing, with their FOMO,
People just grind now these shits, and dont focus, on what they really like, i feel.

Live service can be awesome if done right and with good enough intentions, but for the most part it’s just about maximizing profits and minimizing effort for the developer / publisher. Add decision made not by lead designers / game directors but excel warriors and we end up with Call of Battlefield: Black Duty 17 Battlepass Edition with optional Subscriber Package.

But this whole situation creates the ideal situation to get gems like baldurs gate 3, battlebit, factorio, even games like cyberpunk stand out of the whole profit maximizing shit show.
