Shooting on low budget stuff is whatever, but the amount of software filtering that goes on in a smartphone camera seems like it would make the raw footage really difficult to edit.
I mean they don’t call it RAW for nothing.
iPhone 15 shoots in Log now so they’re pretty solid and as with all cameras it’s 80% about the lens. It’s no Super35 but you can get good glass for them. We shoot on them a lot for doc work. Not sure if I’d do it for scripted but that’s mostly because they tend to have the budget haha. Boyle is known for embracing experimental tech though.
Is there any footage that shows what it looks like yet?
Is there information on lenses for phone cameras? Seems impossible to place a lens directly on top rather than hardwire it.
