Just make sure you don’t use a wallet that uploads your view keys to the node…

Which wallet? Most walets upload view keys to servers.
Only edge and mymonero uses view keys
And what wallet was used in this study? My money is on mymonero.
All wallets are effected. It’s not wallet specific.
