Gab will now be the permanent home of the dank, microwave taco community until further notice. I will only use other social media to promote for us, and convince people to come to gab. Nostr needs a lot of development and its current form reminds me of Twitter if it had a retarded cousin. It doesn’t work right and is inconsistent in performance.

Nostr hasn’t been smooth for me at all but I’ll probably figure something out
I’m the one been hyping nostr hard but it’s not perfect for me either. Eats the shit out of my mobile data. I think that is because you pull from so many different relays it’s like running 15 sites at the same time. That is a problem. It’s solvable with compromises.
That’s the thing for me honestly. I know nostr can work, but it’s being patient that frustrates me.
I’m impatient as fuck. Like I’ve said, if I was a developer I would make a reddit style client cause that’s what I like.
But I’m not a developer so I have to wait until someone up and decides maybe they want to do that which is annoying. I know I’m bitching a bit I know that it’s frustrating bc I literally can’t do anything about it I don’t like or want to wait on ppl. I feel like most developers are just pumping out Twitter nostr apps and like that’s all they ‘see’ .
Stop trying to have a dick measuring contest with Elon. Make a fucking reddit nostr client, a Facebook, one fuck come up with something else. Not EVERYONE uses or likes fucking Twitter dude.
The reddit Exodus should have made that pretty apparent.

It takes like a year of full time work to make a reddit app. Like a decent one. It will come but not quickly. The ones that came out are pretty decent for how quick they. Came out. And they are getting better.

if you use it from the browser, it’s pretty easy as long as you save a copy of your private key somewhere (websites will offer to create it for you). if you lose it, then its equivalent to forgetting your password, except there’s no password reset - basically you’d just have to create a new account.

I am trying to set up a lightning node but I can’t get it to recieve transactions. I can send sats but cannot recieve. It might be a Wallet of Satoshi issue but I am not sure since it doesn’t give any logs.

How did you host yours? What software did you use? Did you open a channel to someone or did someone opened a channel to you?
