kbin a forum-like social media platform and online community where users can share and discuss various topics through posts, comments, articles, microblogs, images, and more. It is apart of the Fediverse. It quickly and suddenly rose in popularity alongside Lemmy in June 2023 after the Reddit api/3rd party app protests.
Kbin has had a small[1] entry on the Wikipedia page for Fediverse since the 10th of June[2]. Not a full page or even a paragraph, but it pre-dates the UD entry by a good few weeks.
