knowing content far worse than I’d ever be willing to host is allowed, provides me a certain level of ease

While this logic is surely understandable, it’s a bit iffy, as in, not necessarily the best criterion.

Anyway, I’d also consider IncogNet. As for FlokiNet, its reputation is indeed mixed. Their servers do work decently, and for example https://bitcoin-vps.com/ is (still) on Floki, yet commenting: “Tor friendly. Includes (potentially outdated) OpenBSD images which must be manually installed via VNC.” At least they’re trying to be more Tor-friendly and their support is kind and helpful, yet currently FlokiNet is probably less-than-perfect, like technically. Unlike Njalla, they don’t directly accept BTC/XMR either, but rely on a third party payment provider. One potentially good news for us is that they seem to have this plan:

Payment methods served within Tor are on the roadmap since Q1 2023 (Bitcoin and Monero) however the setup will still take a while (also for legal reasons, as you might know MiCA will cause many problems with Crypto)

Yeah, MiCA could be getting a big problem in EU.

One nice thing about Njalla is, you can give them your pgp pub, and every email from them is pgp. This is cool. But they’re quite pricey tbh. I’d like inexpensive, Monero-centric hosting services (perhaps community-based), for smaller hobby sites.
