Hello! Thank you for letting me join Moneo.Town! I am a amateur blacksmith and silversmith with a profile on Moneromarket, and i am writing this post in order to get help with starting a blacksmithing and silversmithing business. The biggest hurdle for me at the moment is fuel costs (charcoal), the fact that i’m using a make-shift anvil out of a railroad tie-plate and potential shipping costs. Materials may become costly, but that’s unknown at this time. With each product I make, i will try to make an associated video along with it; in order to both show the process of its creation, and to ensure to the customer/s that my products are hand-forged by me. [ANVIL UPDATE]
I made a post on Twitter, but i’ll make one here too.
Through the Kuno fundraiser, i’ve been able to get about 1/2 of the funds needed to buy the anvil im seeking. I’ve also managed to do some blacksmith side-gigs for a few friends IRL and bought the other 1/2 of the monero needed.
Once i receive the anvil i will be able to make more intricate items (including Monero symbols) that will be listed on Moneromarket (and XMRBazaar once it goes live). I look forward to expanding my smithing skills and techniques.
